Spacious luxury villa with private swimming pool

PLEASE NOTE: Villa Pinna was completely renovated in 2019! The house now has a new layout and is equipped with a luxurious new kitchen, ditto bathrooms and new furniture. The house is completely insulated (cool in the summer, warm in the winter) and a CV has been installed. Now also rental in the winter period! (The swimming pool will be closed from 1 November to 30 April).

No need for busy tourist resorts? Looking for authentic Sardinian life among the locals?

Located just outside the village of Villaperuccio, in the south of Sardinia, between the vineyards and olive trees, this spacious villa with private swimming pool (10x5). All rooms are on the ground floor and around the house and at the swimming pool you can enjoy the tranquility of the rural surroundings. This place is ideal to serve as a base from which you can discover southern Sardinia! In the vicinity there are also beautiful beaches (quiet and tourist), the capital Cagliari and many places of interest in the field of archeology and culture.

Within walking distance of the house are shops, a mini supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacy and restaurants / pizzeria.

This house is ideal to serve as a base for discovering the beautiful southern Sardinian surroundings. In the immediate vicinity you can:

- visiting the excavations of Montessu, this large prehistoric necropolis, discovered and excavated since the 1970s, is undoubtedly one of the most interesting archaeological sites on the island, due to the importance of the study of rituals and funeral types of people living in Sardinia before the arrival of Nuraghe.

- view the Grotte Is Zuddas. The famous caves of Is Zuddas are located on Meana Mountain at 256 meters. This unique and unreal setting houses four rooms with stalagmites and stalactites.

- climb the castle of Aquacadda. The ruins of this castle are spread over 3 levels on a volcanic rock. It dates from 1200 and was strategically placed as a vantage point and because it was difficult to storm. A guide tells you during a tour what life was like at the time.

- enter the Carbonia coal mines. This old coal mine "Miniera di Serbariu", active from 1937 to 1964, has been transformed into a "coal museum" after a major refurbishment. You will find an exhibition of the coal mine history here and during the tour of about 45 minutes, under the supervision of a guide, you can experience the coal mine yourself.

- go to the zoo in Giba. Here is the nature park 'Parco degli Angeli'. Nice to spend a day and get acquainted with many animal and plant species. Both a small playground and a picnic area in the shade and a restaurant are available.

- visit the Sant'Antioco peninsula. This island in the southwest corner of Sardinia connected by a bridge. Upon arrival at the bridge you will see a beautiful lagoon with Sant ‘Antioco in the background. These lagoons and salt flats are inhabited throughout the year by flamingos, stumps, cormorants and gulls. Sant'Antioco has countless historical sites such as the Chiesa di Sant'Antioco (built on the Punic and then Christian catacombs) and the nearby Museo Archeologico. The city has a wide port and an extensive 'centro storico'. There are countless beautiful beaches on the island, such as Maladroxia.

Many varied events, festivities and fairs are organized in Sardinia during all seasons of the year. Every village has its own 'Sagra'. In Santadi (the village next to Villaperuccio) the Mauritanian wedding is celebrated every year. A colorful parade of folk groups from different parts of Sardinia is followed by a real wedding on the large village square. A young couple is united in marriage through a religious ceremony, following the ancient pastoral and peasant tradition. And all visitors are witnesses!

Of course you can also enjoy the countless beautiful beaches that Sardinia has to offer. At 15 minutes by car from the house you will find Porto Pino, this beautiful sandy beach is very large and has a 'tourist' part (with rental of sun beds, umbrellas and pedal boats), but a little further you can also lie very quietly. It is also recommended to take a ride along the coast once, you will then come across beautiful white sandy beaches that you will be the only one to use.

Furthermore, a visit to the capital Cagliari and the excavations at Nora / Pula are a must. There are also several aqua parks near Cagliari where you can enjoy yourself all day long.

And when you have been on such a busy day you will return to the wonderfully peaceful surroundings of the holiday home, where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets while enjoying a good glass of wine at the swimming pool! Do not feel like cooking? Less than 200 meters from the house is the Pizzeria / ristorante Da Delfina where you can eat a great pizza or try the most delicious Sardinian dishes at very reasonable prices.

A great rural house with fab pool
A very nicely furnished, rural house with a fabulous pool. Walking distance to a great pizzeria (closed Tuesday) and a chemist, butcher and bread shop. A bigger supermarket is Eurospin 7 mins away in the car. The pool is heated (I think!) and is brilliantly and frequently maintained by Delfina. Everything you could possibly need for a trip to the coast is provided for. Umbrellas, cool boxes etc etc. Whilst the house doesn’t have air con, it remains pretty cool. There aren’t fans in the kitchen/ sitting room which we found to be very hot. Delfina & her husband who manage the property are kind and generous hosts. If you need anything you can message her on her mobile (number in the info book in the house). Beaches are driving distance (obviously!) and there are many beautiful small beaches and coves to explore. Some of the larger are extremely busy. Access to the generous utility room was great as we always pack little and wash whilst away. A family of kittens live under the tarpaulin on the drive. Although very scared, they really appreciated cat food and water whilst we visited as it was unseasonably hot. A great, peaceful place to stay. Views from the terrace to the vineyard and olive groves behind, are unforgettable. Worth noting there isn’t a hairdryer at the property. If you need one, take one

Beautiful villa
Villa Pinna is a beautiful place to stay and has been finished to a really high standard. The setting is very peaceful but within a short drive of beautiful beaches where we enjoyed snorkelling. The pool is larger than other villas we have stayed at. Overall, we were really impressed! Mariella was fantastic at communicating throughout the booking process and during our stay. Delphina, who looks after the property was lovely. We just wished we’d been able to speak Italian so that we could chat more freely with her. However, we were still able understand each other well enough with the help of Google translate. We can certainly recommend Delphina’s pizzeria which is less that 100m walk from the villa. Thank you Mariella and Delphina for a fantastic stay!

Beautiful villa!
What a beautiful villa! I would actually be happy to live there! It’s completely modern and has SO much more space than the photos show. It’s in a very social layout, but similarly, everyone can spread out and have their own space (which we absolutely needed after lockdown and living on top of each other for so long!!) The pool is bigger than in other villa’s we have stayed at so perfect for the 5 of us. There is a big supermarket very close (Eurospin), but for some reason, it didn’t come up on any search engines, so we drove much further to find one. Worth asking for directions to that one. Apart from Delfina’s pizzeria a couple of minutes walk away (with fantastic pizzas!) we ate in most nights. Cooking facilities are fantastic with anything you would need, and everything is clean and new. We had to ask before we went if there was a washing machine as it wasn’t in the description, but there is actually an entire utility room! Love coming home from holiday with no washing! I also loved the fact that it’s just on one floor, no need to go up and down stairs if you forget something. Would absolutely recommend this villa.

Photos don’t do justice to this beautiful Villa
We’ve just spent the most idyllic 5 days at Villa Pinna. The location is quiet and surrounded by superb views of mountains. The local village is quiet but had enough shops to get what we needed. The gelateria around the corner does fantastic gelato! The villa was spotless, everything was clean, the kitchen had all the utensils you’d need, the coffee percolator was a very welcome addition and the pool was excellent! So nice to jump into when the beaming sunshine got us too hot! Thank you very much to Mariella’s communication throughout the booking to the end of our stay. And thank you to Delfina who looked after us while we were at the Villa.

Fantastic stat
It was a beautiful house with a professional host. Everything was perfect, it could be better if it could be aircondition. But we were very content with everything. The villa is newly renovated so its very fresh. Thanks for letting us rent the wonderful villa.

Lovely private spacious villa
We stayed a week as 2 couples at this lovely villa in the countryside. It is set in a quiet peaceful village with no immediate neighbours, the outside pool area is surrounded by bushes, cactai, flowers and is really lovely. There was fruit trees and flowers in the garden as well. A short 10 minute walk is a supermarket, 2 pizzerias, bars, a butcher(although not open) . The local people are nice and friendly, even though they did not speak English. The villa is spacious inside , well equipped , especially the kitchen. with lots of lovely little touches . 2 big bathrooms. On the downside the beds have very hard uncomfortable mattresses, so would benefit from new softer ones. There was also a damp smell in the living room, presumably because it’s not used much, so probably needs airing off. We enjoyed our week stay at the villa and would defiantly recommend it.Brush up on your Italian as well.

Very relaxing stay
The property was very private and comfortable to stay. Delfina was an amazing host and food at her restaurant ( which is practically on your door step) is delicious. The garden and swimming pool were the highlights with its beautiful view
