The location was fantastic...very central for all the sights we wanted to visit...museums, shopping, food, canals... Also it was nice to learn that a historical watchtower and city wall was located at this site

The Doelen is perfectly situated in walking distance to all of the interesting places in the Centrum district. The facilities are beautiful and luxurious. Our streetside room had a beautiful view. The hotel surprised us with a complementary upgrade. The staff was professional and courteous - and well-informed on the history of the building and the city. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious, with a wide variety of choices and made to order items.

Beautiful View of canal If you request view

It was a lovely hotel located right on the canal. The staff was very attentive. We also enjoyed the location of the hotel. We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to see.

wonderful old world style with modern amenities. Located in a very nice neighborhood, with lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself serves a fantastic breakfast buffet, well-worth the low cost. In the evenings the restaurant is an Indonesian fusion menu, with delicious affordable food. I would stay here again.
