Rude staff

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: Attitude of the staff, and the rooms are dingy, dark and smelly.
Location: Within a block are rows of nice new hotels and much safer area.
The staff were extremely rude, from the front desk to the front doorman. We had a couple of friends come visit us and within a period of 30 minutes we had six calls asking how many people are in the room and demanding for them to register because of SECURITY. Apparently the hotel has big issues with security, and its located in a very rough alley with a lot of addicts and homeless people. Absolutely the worse Melia hotel we have ever been to.

Nice hotel with a great location

Pros: Location, the beauty and comfort of the rooms, and free wifi
Location: Great location, close to restaurants, shops, several attractions, and cruise port.
The rooms were really nice. They were nicely decorated, and comfortable. We had a big bathroom, nicely decorated as well. The only thing was that it was open, not fully enclosed, so we would close the curtains when taking showers as you could see through to the buildings across the street. (I forget what floor we were on.) The free wifi was great. We did not use the other hotel facilities other than the room so don't have much info on that. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location was very convenient for us. There were plenty of restaurants, shops and attractions within walking distance. Also, it's very close to the cruise port so it was a short taxi ride for us to the port.

Nicely located in downtown with restaurants and pubs close by

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet
I have stayed 3 times in Melia and have found it to be clean, convenient with a staff that is courteous and responsive. I would definitely recommend it.

Very Nice Clean and Update Hotel

Great property with a kind and helpful staff. Great selection on the breakfast buffet. Nice public areas elevators and hallways. Rooms are very very nice. Nearby restaurants and shopping make it an ok location.
