The overall ambiance of the Drake just makes you feel a little fancy, if only for a few moments. The Lounge and restaurant were populated and lively, and the decor is what I would think royalty is used to.

Chicago

Pros: The balcony off of the dinning room!
Cons: A longer stay!!
Location: It was easy to go see all the site of Chicago!
The rooms are very clean, staff is very friendly! The food is amazing, we had the rib eye dinner with asparagus and carrots. It also came with potatoes, it was the best steak I have ever eaten!!! I recommend it and enjoyed the live entertainment!

Hotel has lost some of it's magic over the years.

Pros: lived in Oak Brook for years
Cons: see above
Location: for this you have to either go to the Oakbrook Center or Hinsdale
Not really a "Drake" hotel, I could not believe that there was no operation bar service until 5:30---certainly not the the kind of entertaining experience I expected. Hopefully, when they finish their remodeling (a date that was unable to be provided) the replacement for The Lodge will solve the problem. But in the interim, there is a very appealing lobby bar that would fill the gap nicely---the problem is that there is not a soul around tend it.

Our favorite Oak Brook area hotel.

Pros: Location, decor, price, comfort.
Cons: Later hours in the restaurant for after-concert snacks.
Location: Hotel is right off the main highways, near family and Oak Brook area.
This hotel is so gracious, comfortable, and is in an excellent location for our needs. This stay was a bit different due to a sudden change in weather. I think the main heat had been turned off, my room heater would not engage to heat the room. Also found a dead bug in my face towel in the bathroom. The staff is always great, polite and accommodating . We got to the restaurant very late, but were served as if it was mid day. Will stay again, no hesitations.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff

Pros: Beautiful hotel and restaurant. Live music in the bar.
We were in Chicago due to a death in the family. The staff did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable, even sending a condolence gift.
