What a view!

If you’re looking to be in the heart of a small and charming bustling town yet you can sit on your front porch with the backdrop of Chimney Rock and all that glory right in front of you…then this is a wonderful location. The home is older, but well kept and managed. The beds felt newer, and rooms were clean. The only downside of the property was that several lightbulbs on the exterior and the interior of the house were out and the shower curtain and shower flooring could have been cleaner, but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and even had a late night black bear visitor, which quietly walked past the home and into the woods, it was a really cool sight!

Weekend getaway

The property is beautiful. Very historic and well kept. Access to downtown Chimney Rock was all within walking distance with so much to do. Quiet, peaceful, and wonderful views. We would love to come back!

Incredible location

We had never stayed in any other vacation house with a more perfect location. Amazingly, it is in the middle of everything and, yet, it is secluded. We loved the house; it is cozy, didn't lack anything important, and it was perfect for our family of three. If we could make any changes, we would upgrade the level of comfortable sitting; add nighstand lights for reading in bed; replace burned-out lightbulbs, and keep an eye on cleanliness of kitchen stuff (we found in the cupboards and drawers several cups, silverware, etc. that was stained and/or greasy).

Great Stay!

The home as very convenient, clean, and had all needed supplies. We enjoyed being able to walk to shops, restaurants, and the river. It felt very private even though we were on the main road. We really enjoyed using the fire pit too. The only con for us was that our family of 6 is used to bigger beds, so not everyone slept well.

Epic Adventure-

We had a great time staying at this home. It was clean, organized, comfortable, and met all our requirements. The property was right downtown in Chimney Rock with fabulous views of Chimney Rock. The 15 yard walk to the River Walk was amazing as well. We had dinner at most of the restaurants in downtown and all of them had fabulous food. The late night entertainment was fun and good thing it is not real Late night. Lol. We are in our (40’s) but go to bed early so we liked that the town dies down early. We hiked Chimney Rock, Green River Narrows, BeatWallow Falls, and of course the Riverwalk each night after dinner. We rode into Asheville and did a Bike tour, that was so very much fun ( FootHills Adventures- a must do for the ones that don’t hike. The electric bikes are fast and fun. We covered 20miles on our tour. Lastly we enjoyed the GIANT BEAR That took a leisurely stroll Past the screened in porch. Epic I say. Yes, they are there. In closing it was a great house and trip. Ian Forbus asked me to marry him so……. I said yes!

Perfect mountain getaway!

This darling house is in the perfect location to take advantage of all that Chimney Rock and Lake Lure have to offer! The house is well appointed and very comfortable with all the necessary amenities for a very cozy stay. The owners were very friendly and quick to respond when we had questions. Dining, shopping, and the river walk are steps away at the end of the driveway making for an effortless transition after a day of hiking to dinner, sight seeing, and most importantly, ice cream! If you're looking for the perfect mountain getaway, look no further!

Magical!!!

The location of this cottage could not be better! Literally across the street from the park and in between the shops, it could not have been more convenient! They were so responsive to our questions and we loved it so much, we extended our trip an extra night! I will say the exterior which Is so pretty, I’d definitely not handicapped accessible. My only recommendation would be to at least install a railing up the stairs - even the most fit loses their balance from time to time😂 that being said, it was truly magical! Thank you!

Amazing trip to Chimney Rock

Outstanding stay at this cabin right in the heart of Chimney Rock. The house was perfect for our little family getaway, convenient to all the activities in CR and surrounding area. Waking up to the perfect view of the Chimney Rock was spectacular. It was cozy and clean and super easy to access. Communication and stay were so smooth. Would highly recommend!

Lovely rustic place to call home for a couple of days

We enjoyed the place very much. The house was clean and tidy, the view is spectacular and it was quiet at night. We hiked during the day and went to Asheville to sightsee. The only thing to be aware of is that the house is very close to the main drag in town so it was a little noisier during the day.

Outstanding little cabin

The owners of this cute little cabin have a gem of a property. You will not find a better location - as you sit on the porch with Main Street in front of you and Chimney Rock as your view. The cabin is updated/remodeled, very clean, and household amenities are fully supplied. The owners provide a welcome gift and make sure you have all the comforts of home. Everything in the cabin is in working order and well kept even for an older home. The owners send you a text the day you are scheduled to arrive and they let you know that they are available if you need anything. The only con would be for anyone with a physical disability , they should be aware that the stairs from the driveway to the house can be a little difficult to maneuver. But you are in the mountains and staying at a mountain house, so these things come with the territory. Would highly recommend that you book your stay in Chimney Rock at this little red cabin!!

Cozy Abode

Our Family had a wonderful stay. Quick access to the shops, and restaurants. Lake Lure is an annual vacation for us, and this home was perfect. Great views, great landscape, tidy cozy home. If you want to experience all that Chimney Rock, and surrounding areas have to offer. I highly recommend this home away from home.
