The property is in great condition, the room comfortable, the staff all very nice. Breakfast was very good. I was disappointed that they only have valet parking (extra $25). It’s ridiculous to charge a “resort fee”, particularly in February. There are many nice looking hotels in that area. I’ll shop around if I’m back.

More disappointing than anything else was the staff's overall demeanor. From the front desk to the cleaners to the valet to the support crews - We were almost stunned by how rude, unhelpful and downright irritated everybody was. Our family stayed here last year during the same season and we were impressed with the hotel, but something has drastically changed since. This is not to mention the hotel facilities and room themselves, which were also a huge letdown. The elevators were constantly broken. The pool was disgusting. The doors didn't work properly. The ATM was an absolute joke. Our room had some kind of very stinky orange fungus growing in the shower's corner, the bed sheets didn't come close to fitting, the TV's didn't work properly, so on and so forth. We're pretty laid back people and relatively easy to please - especially on a family trip to which we'd been looking forward for months - yet the experience was SO different from last year and SO uncomfortable that it's certain we'll never return.

The beach access is the best part of this hotel. The pool was fun for the kids but I questioned the cleanliness of the whole place. Cleaning services are not provided. You need to call for clean towels 24 hours in advance...and that also includes toilet paper!? Way over priced!!! We were traveling with 2 small children and we did not feel safe in the Myrtle beach area. We left after the first night. Very disappointing!

The hotel was beautiful. Staff was more than friendly and very helpful. Only this that my family disliked was the hotel restaurant. We paid alot of money for food that i could make better at home. But, i would def stay there again.

Unable to check-in with out parking off property first. Checking in was odd and a sign inside that states Check in on the 3rd floor would be a big help. Either that orhave a check-in near the parking deck.

I looked for South Bay motel, like I booked, no such animal. On my confirmation, nothing that said the name changed. Finally had to put it in GPS and made it, everything after was wonderful!
