Housing
On the ground floor with the exception of a mezzanine with master bedroom, shower room, WC and office, the villa (220 m2) also includes 3 bedrooms, one equipped for babies, a shower room and a bathroom. bathroom, a separate toilet, a large kitchen-office and a large living room with fireplace. Large openings allow easy access to the pool and garden. The interior has been decorated with great care by the host, tapestry training. Free WIFI. TV, washing machine, dryer, garden lounges, protected and equipped swimming pool, barbecue.
Situation
Located a five-minute drive from the city of Carcassonne, "Casa del Olivo" is also close to Lake Cavayère, very well equipped for bathing and hiking activities. The villa is located on the edge of a village, near a small shopping center, close to an 18-hole golf course and other sports activities (tennis, horse riding, etc.). Walks in the surrounding area will allow you, in the space of a day, to discover the Canal du Midi (classified site), the Cathar castles (Lastours, Puivert, Monségur), the abbeys of Lagrasse, Fontfroide and Saint Hilaire, or the beaches near Narbonne. The Carcassonne-Ouest exit of the A61 motorway is 10 minutes away, Carcassonne-Salvaza airport is 8 km away and Toulouse-Blagnac airport is just over an hour away.

Great property

We had a fantastic holiday. The pool is a really good size for 6 of us. The house had everything we needed. The local sites are not far to drive to. Carcasonne medieval city and the lake caveyere were great day trips.

Home from Home close to Carcassone

We spent a lovely week here in July, a family of 5 with children ranging from 3-12. The villa was the ideal home from home for us. Located overlooking vineyards on the edge of Palaja the villa is ideally located within walking distance of the village centre and yet very private. In the village there is collection of shops which include a boulangerie, small supermarket, pharmacy, a small eatery serving pizza, cheeses and drinks, and a fine butchers. There is also a nice restaurant on the edge of the village towards Carcassone. The lake is a 5 minute drive and has a sandy beach, a pebble beach and an area with inflatables in the water which our older boys loved. A 10 minute drive to Carcassone where there is the option of visiting the Medieval city or the newer part of the city, both excellent days out. The pool was ideal, with a large shallow step which was great for our 3 year old to splash about in. There are several loungers located around the villa to catch the sun or remain in the shade throughout the day. The hammock was a favourite for reading and relaxing. All in all a great week in a lovely villa.

Havre de paix à côté de Carcassonne

Propriété très agréable, très bien équipée. Très bonnes prestations. Situation idéale à 5min de Carcassonne. Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine, en alternant excursions (de nombreux sites à visiter dans la région, proches de la maison) et repos bien mérité dans le jardin ou autour de la piscine. Excellent accueil, disponibilité et réactivité. Et des bons conseils pour profiter pleinement de la région. Encore merci !
