PLEASE UNDERSTAND BEFORE BOOKING: All guests will be contacted and must speak to a representative by telephone up to a week before arrival to establish a rapport, answer any remaining questions and to collect and relay certain details not provided here on Vrbo. Once the reservation is completely non-refundable, and guest has completed the phone call, guest will be provided all necessary details and instructions for their day of arrival. Guest may arrive any time between 4-10 PM but since we must have an agent on site for every check-in, we will need to ask your expected arrival time, and for you to update us with any changes thereafter. -- IMPORTANT: Resort reserves the right to cancel any booking by any guest who is noncompliant or belligerent during communication by phone or text regarding the above procedures which you agree to by booking, even if you fail to read and review all terms and details. If you want a completely "no-contact/no-human-interaction" arrangement or for any reason you object to our policy or any of these requirements we ask you not to book, or to let us know within a 4-hour grace period of booking, and your reservation will be canceled with a full refund of your payment. A full or partial refund may also be possible thereafter according to the cancellation policy provided in our listing, depending on time remaining before the scheduled reservation.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: We are about one-third to one-half the cost of a room at the Hilton next door, yet offer two to three times the space, including a full kitchen to save on dining out. Guests enjoy three pool & spa complexes open 24/7/365, all with hot tubs, showers, restrooms and grills, and all heated during the winter, so they're always available and swimmable anytime you wish to use them! The resort is surrounded by mountains and is just a 1/2 mile walk to hiking & biking at North Mountain preserve.

Guests will receive a mailbox key upon check-in, so those here for multiple weeks or months may have their USPS mail temporarily forwarded directly to the resort mail huts just a few feet away; UPS and FedEx packages will be delivered directly to your door. Unlike the others here, all of our rentals offer extras such as stereo surround sound, landline telephone service with voicemail, caller ID and unlimited long distance calls to Canada and within the U.S., as well as full-service check-in with a representative to greet you on site and to tend to any needs that may arise. All our properties feature free WiFi and landlines which enable resort gate entry via intercom.

Our short-term rentals are geared toward those who need to stick to a budget compared to a decent hotel room yet would still like to enjoy the additional size and amenities of a complete vacation home as well as the convenient location and private, well-kept environment of a resort community. Starting out at Motel 6 prices, even our highest rates are half the starting rate of a single bedroom and bathroom at the Hilton next door, yet with two to three times the space! We strive to provide a great value to guests, offering both affordable rates and the convenience of a well furnished, decorated and appointed full-size home in a pleasant and private gated community with three 24/7 heated pool & spa complexes at your disposal. We always have someone on site to address your needs. However, at our low rates (starting at $37/nt. for a full home in the summer) we have a very limited staff and there are occasionally missed items or things that may be overlooked or unnoticed, especially when prepping a rental for new guests after stays of several weeks or months. For instance, with all the linens and kitchenware we provide, some guests may put away an item without properly cleaning it. While this is not the norm, it does happen and we do not have the resources to check every single item that has been stored or folded. When this occurs there may be an instance where a subsequent guest may need to rewash it, or there may be a crumb or hair here or there that is impossible to catch during inspection between back-to-back bookings. If you already know you are highly meticulous or very picky about small things such as linens washed in certain fragrant detergents, or an occasional creepy crawler from the desert that finds its way indoors, or a shampoo bottle that is not completely full, etc. we may not be an ideal fit for you and would instead suggest a hotel with a full-time staff at a higher price point. Of course as our reviews reflect, the vast majority of our guests since 2004 have been very appreciative of our low rates which we haven't raised in many years considering all the amenities, pleasant environment and quality of living we offer. We just don't want our higher-end appeal at low-end prices to be mistaken as a guarantee for top-dollar perfection or to set unreasonable expectations and demands. We are perfect for those who won't mind if they encounter some of these incidentals considering what we offer at our lower-end price point. We are dedicated to providing a tremendous value to all financially mindful guests.

POWER USAGE: The first $25/week ($35/week summer) is covered with your rental agreement. Excess power usage will be withheld from the security deposit. Most responsible guests who are not excessive will not exceed this allowance, or if so only by a negligible amount. However, unlimited power usage is still available under our former rate plan for an additional $6/night. Inform management before arrival if you would nevertheless prefer this option.

PLEASE NOTE: Management maintains a presence on site for your convenience and to handle any issues. Any attempt by a guest to accommodate more than the maximum occupancy as previously declared and specified, or to house an undisclosed pet, will result in an additional charge, removal of excess occupants, and/or reservation termination without refund.

Arizona Vacation

The apartment was extremely clean and well stocked. The location was terrific, since it was close to hiking trails, shopping and restaurants. Having the pool and barbecues around the corner from the unit was very convenient. Since the managing agent only spoke to us over the phone and did not meet us in person, when we checked, in, the process was a little confusing. There were no written instructions as to how to operate the t.v., and the heating/air conditioning took us a while to figure out. Also, in previous stays with VRBO, there was a binder suggesting restaurants, shopping, interesting things to do in the area, but that was not included in this stay. All is all, my husband and I loved our " Vacation home away from home".

The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat. The space was perfect for my husband daughter and I. The patio was a pleasant place to hang out. The property was exactly as pictured in the Vrbo website. The Tapatio area or North Mountain was as surprise to us. It was an area that felt safe and well kept. We Zillowed the current listings. The heated pool area was just behind our unit and we spent out spare time there reading and sunning and swimming. We contacted the property manager several times and had immediate response. We had an issue with the sofa and the owner said it will be replace. Overall the unit deserve a 5 star rating. I want to thank my contacts, Dionne and the owner for making our stay comfortable.

Pointe Tapatio was Amazing

The unit was clean, fully furnished with lots of extra kitchenware, linens very nice. Two drawbacks why I wouldn't rent this particular unit, the couch and chairs were old, worn beyond cleaning, uncomfortable. We contacted the owner and his response was he was not going to replace furniture, despite our long stay. We sat on pillows..... Second, the shared WIFI, had to be rebooted daily to connect.

We are going back next year!

This condo is a real gem. Here’s what we like about it: the location is perfect. It’s a short walk down a pretty street to North Mountain preserve, where we hiked the mountain 2-3 times per week. It’s also close-in to other beautiful hikes and downtown Phoenix, with easy access to cultural activities and restaurants. The condo is on the ground floor, so no steps, and is very close to the assigned parking spot. The Canyon Pool is nice, with plenty of seating and shade, and is a short walk from the door without having to cross any parking lot. Perfect for our 3 yr old granddaughter. The outdoor patio is spacious, with afternoon sun. There are new premium sunshades for the patio that provide shade and increased privacy. There is lots of seating. We spent a lot of time there. The layout is comfortable, with the bedrooms on opposite sides of the main room. We stayed a month and had various family members join us at different times. The master bath and closet are very spacious. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and dining in, even with plastic glasses and dishes for the pool (required poolside). There is a full size washer and dryer. Very handy for the beach towels and for traveling light. We happened to meet the owner, Bob, and he is very nice and conscientiously concerned that his guests have an excellent experience. He expects his team to be very responsive should we need anything. In short, we have rented this same condo for a month each spring for the last six years, and we have reserved it again for next year. That’s how much we enjoy it.

Incredible Accommodation in Central Proximity to Everything!

This accommodation went w-a-y beyond our expectations! The many photos and the owner's write-up to not begin to outline just how wonderful this location is! The entrance is unique ... water fountains! The parking spot is 20 steps away. Inside, a fully equipped kitchen with Kitchenaid heavy duty cookware, Faberware knives, Corelle baking dishes, a full assortment of Oneida dinnerware, and glasses of every size for enjoyment and/or entertaining! The master bedroom has a sliding door to the balcony, and the sheets and bedding are quality+. The double-sink master bathroom has Kohler fixtures, and off of to the other side of the bathroom is a huge walk-in closet with extra pillows, sheets, duvets, etc. The living room can open to the balcony, has a large screened TV, DVD player, stereo system, board games, playing cards, books ... everything for relaxation. The second bedroom has twin beds and its own full bathroom with shower; again, those Kohler fixtures! There is an incredibly large floor to ceiling pantry, filled with even more cookware, including a little and large Crockpot ... plus all sorts of items to take to the pool, such as plastic glasses, paper plates, and BBQ starters. The heated pool and spa is 25 steps away. Many chaise lounges and chairs for sun tanning, plus two huge BBQ's. The grounds of this entire complex are constantly being cared for by staff; not contractors, staff! The actual location of this complex is such that it is really close to grocery stores and malls for day-to-day shopping. However, it is also very centrally located so that if you want to visit Cave Creek, Gilbert, Apache Junction, Glendale, Chandler or any "suburb" of Phoenix, they are all equi-distant from your "home away from home". Our one complaint? We never expected the condo to be as incredible as it was, and only booked for one month (boo-hoo). Next time, we will know better! Many thanks to Steve for his kind words and advice upon signing up last summer, our continued correspondence as the months went on, and speaking to him once more upon our arrival. What a wonderful Host!

Peaceful and Relaxing Place

My husband and I were very pleased with our week long stay here. Once inside the gate, you tend to forget you are in a city. It was so quiet and relaxing! The grounds are well taken care of, very neat and clean. The pool was always sparkling and refreshing. The jacuzzi felt wonderful in the evening when my feet were tired from the days adventures. The condo unit...it was amazing! I felt right at home upon entering. It was loaded with everything you need; with the exception of your own personal items, and food of course. This unit is very neat and clean; also very tastefully decorated. A big plus is having laundry appliances in the unit. From booking to checking out, it was a smooth and wonderful experience. I am so glad I found this place! It is evident the owner takes pride in his home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, quiet place that is centrally located in the Greater Phoenix area. This is a ground floor unit with close proximity to the pool and a few steps to your assigned covered parking as well. A true gem! It won't disappoint. The owner and his agent are both exceptional. Phoenix - North Mountain area stay

The condo was very well maintained and the gated community was very nice. All the essentials (dishes, pots & pans, glasses, silverware, etc) were available. The beds were comfortable and the convienence of the washer/dryer was a plus. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future. I needed to stay an extra day and that was no problem for Steve (owner) on such short notice. Patrick (condo manager) was able to help me on my arrival with the gate code. I had written down the number, but forgot to press # before entering it. I would highly recommend this condo if you were going to visit Phoenix. Regards, John

Nicely situated

We had a great time again at Steve's condo. Steve was very nice in accommodating our schedule, and Patrick is very responsive to requests and questions. One of the things we like best about the condo is its location surrounded by Phoenix Mountain Reserve open space. We could hike several trails without even getting in the car. So the daily schedule was mountain, pool, patio for drinks. How can you beat it?!
