The room I stayed in was recently renovated and was very nice and clean. The staff was excellent. I spoke with Irene over the phone and she was very informative and accommodating. I would have liked to have had a phone in the room as well as a coffee maker or hot water for tea. There was ice and coffee and tea readily available in the main office, which was very nice, but in the room would have been even better. The Groupon which I bought said it was a Bed and Breakfast, but it really didn't include breakfast. There were pastries available in the office whenever I wanted, but I was looking for more of a breakfast in the morning. Overall, it was a nice place and I loved the fact that is was directly across from the beach.

Ocean front

We were in a bind and it was the only room available in the area for the dates we needed. Small room but comfortable bed, very small bathroom that did not soap and shampoo until we asked. Front desk is not staffed at all times. High priced for what it was and amenities, but I guess that comes with ocean front in the summer.

Thanks for writing us a review. We're glad you found the room comfortable. I do apologize about the amenities-- you should not need to ask for them, as they should already be in the rooms. I also wish to note though the front desk is not staffed at all times, there are staff members available to contact and staff members available on premise should you require an assistance.

Great cozy hotel, super close to the beach

The weather was awful, so I'm glad the room was so clean and comfortable. Anita, at the front desk was very friendly and helpful when it came to finding good restaurants near by. We didn't dine at the restaurant downstairs, it seemed like everyone was really dressed up, decided to take our jeans n sneakers to Rays Cafe instead. Def a comfortable stay!

Very disappointing

Pros: Location
Cons: Staff and general upkeep
My first impression was less than favorable, when we arrived the staff were unfriendly and disinterested to say the least, the room was tiny, poorly equipped and had visible cracks in the paper thin walls which meant there was a minimal chance of any decent sleep as the cleaning staff were noisy during the day and any activity in hall way sounded like it was coming from inside our room. The communal shower was dirty and I felt like I was in a student hostel not a hotel on the expensive Jersey Shore. My wife and I could personally not wait to leave and didn't even bother staying for breakfast.
