The hotel was located in a great area and it felt very safe. It was walkable to many attractions and the breakfast was superb. The hotel was very clean. Our only complaint would be the water temperature fluctuated quite a bit when we showered.

Would not recommend staying with older kids in the family room. Instead of double bed we got unfolded sofa with thin matras. The door to the bathroom did not lock, there were no toileteries. The breakfast was nice, the dining staff was helpful, the area was quiet. Make sure to check your rates for this hotel before checking-in to dispute the pricing. We booked 2 months in advance and ended up paying $100 higher per night than it was on the website on the dates we stayed there. Among the 3 hotels we used this week, The Guardian hotel is the only one I would not recommend.
