We have 6 beautiful forest view rooms with sliding doors opening to a private lanai with dining table and chairs to enjoy the forest birds. Every room has 14 inch memory foam mattresses , flat screen TV's. Hot tub in the covered center courtyard is ready for you and your favorite beverage and friend. The rooms have coffee makers, microwaves and refrigerators in room. Volcanoes National Park is only 2.5 miles from the house. All surfaces are washed with lysol and bleach. Sheets and towels are washed before and after guest arrival.

Rustic getaway near Volcano
Great location close to Volcano park. Musty smelling room – very damp environment. It was a bit cool and the small heater didn’t really work. There is a dirt driveway and parking area. Enjoyed the delicious muffins and papaya which were provided.

Sweet and eclectic
Good location very close to Volcano Nat'l park, nearby restaurants and cafes. Not a posh resort but we liked that. The host is on-site, very friendly and good communication. Nice little touches like fresh papaya and yogurts in the fridge made us feel welcome. A bit musty smelling when we first got there (this is a rainforest, afterall!) but open the screen door for awhile and it was fine.

Perfect spot to explore HVNP
National Park enthusiasts…. Stop scrolling and book this place! You are basically in the park for a fraction of the cost. It’s a perfect base camp to explore Hawaii volcanos. Mahalo for a lovely stay, John and Joy!

Quiet Unique Place
We loved this place. John was very nice and easy to communicate with. The room was small and not really any place for us to put our laptops. We were surrounded by the rainforest literally outside your porch door. He had a few extras that made our stay like home - coffee, local fruits, and yogurt in the mini fridge. The new hot tub was really nice. It was luxurious in the middle of the courtyard of rooms.

Comfortable and colorful studio
The hospitality of the host in providing fresh fruit, yogurt and drinks was great. The location was perfect to visit the Volcano National Park, the black sand beach of Punalu'u, the Ka'u Coffee Plantation and the many wonderful hikes. We saw the sea turtles, nene, birds and endemic flowers and plants on our hikes. The restaurants in Volcano Village were very close. We had a great time.

Great location for the park.

Fabulous!
The rental is cute, quiet, and homey. John was a fabulous host. We had a simple mix up with the check in process that was easily and quickly fixed by John. I wish we could have stayed longer!
