Craigdarroch Castle

Built by coal baron Robert Dunsmuir during the reign of Queen Victoria and now a National Historic Site, Craigdarroch Castle has been meticulously restored, giving visitors a glimpse of privileged life in the 1890s. *Typical tours include an exterior visit with options for photos at the grounds. Please specify in your booking if you would like to tour the inside of the Castle (approx. 45 minute stop).

HCP is a public garden lovingly cared for by volunteers, staff and students. From our hands-on Children’s Garden to the largest outdoor Bonsai Garden in Canada, and the only outdoor bonsai Garden in Western Canada, you will find something to inspire at every visit.

'The Garden that Love Built': The world famous Abkhazi Garden is an exquisite heritage home and garden located just outside city centre Victoria. The Prince and Princess Abkhazi began creating their garden in 1946, the year they married and settled in Victoria, after living separate lives touched by privilege and tragedy. They immediately began to develop their one-acre property, and continued to maintain and improve the garden throughout their lives together. With options for high-tea at the Abkhazi tea room.
