Description

This tour starts by visiting the famous Tule tree, which is considered to be the widest tree in the World. Next visit the zapotec village of “Teotitlan del Valle” to admire the beautiful hand made wool weavings in their workshops. Continues down to the archaeological site of Mitla. Which means “place of the dead”. Mitla is well known for its unique architecture and ornamentation, visit the buildings of the church group, the group of the columns, its tombs, plazas, altars and temples. Finally you have free time to take photos, have a drink or buy a souvenir with the exiting artisans market nearby. On the way back there is a complimentary stop at artisan factory for mezcal, a alcoholic drinks which is fermented and distilled from a century plant known as maguey or agave. Then go back to the Hotels in the City area if you prefer, or can stay in the downtown area on your own.
