What you can expect

Enjoy the opportunity to visit the sights of colonial Panama, the Panama Canal, and the Amador Causeway on this half-day tour. Get a sense of the city's history and learn about the modern marvel that connects the world's great oceans.

After being picked up at your hotel, ride through the sites of Panama's modern capital and the enchanted Balboa area lets you admire the Panama Canal Administration Building on a hill, and then head to Miraflores Locks to see the vessels transiting the locks. After a visit to the new Visitors Centre, head to the Causeway Islands, where you can find a breathtaking view of the city—and a Duty Free store.

Then, visit the Colonial City. Built in 1673, the stretched streets, plazas, and public parks still conserve part of history. Head to the France Plaza, Las Bovedas, San Jose Church with its wonderful gold altar, the Flat Arch, and Cathedral Church. Here, French workers led by Ferdinand de Lesseps began the project of the Panama Canal, and the French architecture of their homes can still be seen. The Panama Canal Museum is located here, as well as the Palacio de las Garzas, residence of Panama's president.

The tour ends with a ride to the largest mall in Latinamerica: Albrook Mall, to make some shopping. If you do not wish to go, we can ride you back to your hotel.
