Description

Explore the Montreal that locals know and love during a guided bike tour that takes you to a combination of both popular and off-the-beaten-track pockets of the city. On 2 wheels, enjoy all the main attractions as well as unusual locations overlooked by most tourists.

Meet your guide at the Montreal on Wheels shop on Rue de la Commune, where you're provided with a bike and helmet. Set out on your half-day tour, which starts along a well-maintained bike path and covers approximately 9 miles (14 km). Visit popular sites like the Latin Quarter, Plateau Mont-Royal and La Fontaine Park, as well as less-explored areas like the alleys of the Plateau, famous for its bohemian reputation.

Stop for a break at St-Viateur Bagel, a legendary local bakery that serves up some of the area's most popular bagels. Your day doesn't end when the tour does—enjoy use of your bike for the rest of the day and explore the city on your home. Montreal has over 403 miles (650 km) of bike paths, so you have no shortage of ground to cover. Just return your bike to the shop before the day's closing hour.

Excellent tour- takes you to neighborhoods a bit further out. Gives a perspective of how people in Montreal live vs focusing on typical tourist attractions.

The tour was the highlight of our trip to Montreal! Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed being out and about on the wonderful bike paths within the city. I did wonder if I'd be able to finish the route, as I had not been on a bike much this year, but it wasn't a problem at all, I enjoyed every minute of it, the pace was very reasonable. Our guide was very knowledgeable, an upbeat person who enjoyed interacting with us along the way.

Not a great experience at all. We were told we only booked for 2 when we had booked for 4 ppl. Then we were given our bikes and told to go. We asked where to go and the guy who gave us our bikes told us follow the bike path. I asked him 'on our own?" and he said yea, here is the map. So we left. They called us 20mins later and asked us to come back as we were to join a group.Explained we were already 20mins away, so we came back an hr and half lter and returned the bikes. They would not give us a discount or even acknowledge that the guy gave us wrong infor and sent us off. Not at all customer service oriented. When we complained the guy at the counter said no couldnt be right because the man who gave us the bikes was someone who he has known since he was 2yrs old so we were basically told we were lying !!!!.
