Overview

Experience the traditional Japanese martial art of kendo in Hokkaido. Experienced instructors with 25 years of kendo experience and having competed in national tournaments will guide you carefully so that even beginners can learn with ease.

On this tour, you will enjoy the valuable experience of training your body and mind while learning the basic techniques and spirit of kendo. In addition, if you want high-intensity exercises I can arrange the programme, such as 100 times continuous striking or use of heavy sword.

Activity itinerary

Takeru, the instructor, will give you a short lecture on the Japanese “do” culture including kendo. He will also share how great kendo is. After the workshop, you’ll have a bamboo sword and know the basic kendo movements. In the end you’ll strike instructor’s armour. Upon completing the workshop, please enjoy taking photos with bamboo sword. *Up to 4 people can wear kendo protectors. If you want, please tell me while booking!
