Cabin Shabby Chic Cottage style cabin in the Woods with a bonus “The Bunkhouse” for additional guests. (AC in both) The Bunkhouse adds an extra Bathroom & extra sleeping for 6 more people. All together there is room to sleep 12 people in beds. All as comfortable as home. Add on 2 sofas and a futon for 3 more people. Luxurious amenities. Top of the line linens, towels, area rugs on wood floors, new mattresses, leather sofas. Pet blankets and cushions so... Bring your furry friend along. Located on 4 acres of wooded land. Beautiful Gardens. This place has all the amenities of home. Perfect for Family gatherings. X Large areas to park your boat and trailer. ATVs are welcome at your own risk. Tenting areas out back or on the grassy pipeline, Picnic Table, Bistro- Cafe tables & Chairs in addition to the dining area on the covered deck. Fire pit with Sitting area around the fire pit. Grill on Webber Gas Grill, or Texas Grill style grill on a wood fire. Use our firewood that is provided for you. Full large kitchen to cook inside or grill out your choice. Lots of outdoor dining space. Pack lite full-size washer/dryer along with detergent, fabric softener & dryer sheets.
Primary Bedroom: Queen bed and a full-size futon.
Bedroom 2: Full Size bunk beds for kids & or adults. In the living room area, there are 2 Comfy (regular not sleepers) Leather Sofas, Open Concept, Large Fully Equipped Kitchen, Living Room, Dining Room, X-Large Dinning Table Seats 6 to10 people, Covered Gathering Deck with Large Table & Chairs, Full Lighting. Then there's the bunkhouse for groups larger then 6. The Bunkhouse sleep an addition 6 people. This Cabin/ Cottage with Bunkhouse has been in our family for many years. We have made sure it has all the comforts of home but that "Get away from it all" feeling. Relax or Party. It's private and up to you on how you spend your time. 4 Acres of wooded land to explore. Tons of space out back for tents, Fire Pits. Quiet. Feel far from the hassle of the day-to-day fast lane. Cell phones work. DSL internet at the cottage. There are 4 Smart TVs on the property, and all have DVD players with a large variety of movies. We are in the woods and can only get DSL internet so it's not possible to have a number of things streaming at once. If you have Verizon Jet Packs or a device with a hotspot it will pick up the internet also. This is the reason there are 4 Smart TVs with DVD Players, Tons of Movies, Books, Outdoor Games, Board Games, Cards, Dice, and more. I Know you'll Love it! Millions of stars in the night sky for all you stargazers.

Great base for Juniata College visit
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here while visiting our daughter for family weekend at Juniata College. My daughter also stayed over one night. Extremely clean and well equipped house, beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay again when we visit her. Only slight thing to be aware of is it's a pretty long gravel road to get to the house so be aware if that's an issue for your car (it was fine for us).

Overall, we loved everything. The owners were so nice and easy to communicate with. I felt a real connection with the history of the cabin, Animal House. We love all animals! Thank you so much for allowing us to share your special place. The Bunkhouse was so nice. We plan on returning!

Retreat in the Woods
I can not say enough how nice this property is. Melissa is very prompt in communicating. The cabin was very clean. The cabin was cutely decorated. There are so many things provided and also notes explaining procedures that it really made me feel like she thought of everything to make people happy and comfortable! The outside and deck area are impressive and had plenty of seating. The cabin is in a great location for a multitude of outdoor activities and also not far from stores and restaurants. We had a wonderful few days and wished we could have stayed longer!

Excellent Stay!
Family stayed for a long weekend. Had everything we needed. The covered outdoor patio was the best. Spent lots of time reading and playing card games. Loved all the little notes to help acclimate us to the property.

Perfect getaway spot!
This is our 3rd year to the area, and by far our favorite house thus far. The house was extremely clean, and well stocked. Our kids loved playing out back, and so did the dogs! We had friends camping over on the Juniata river, so it took us about 30min to get there, and 40 to seven points. It was so nice to have everything there we needed, next time will save me a ton of packing! Our only issue is the bed was a tempurpedic or something, and my husband who is 3 times my size would go to bed first - I would roll into him, almost like an air mattress would. Thankfully most nights I was so exhausted from activities I would fall asleep putting my boys down or on the couch 😝. Overall, amazing home, and Melissa was so sweet to work with! We will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic!
We were pleasantly surprised. The directions to the property were spot on, and when we arrived the property was exactly as described. There was plenty of things to do at the property, and as an extra bonus there was an awesome booklet with the history of the property. The grandchildren enjoyed making smores in the firepit, as well as playing the games supplied by the host. The property was far enough away from the busy areas, but close enough to be able to run to town for necessities (ran out of eggs...LOL) It was an awesome weekend, and we will be returning.

Was very pleased at how beautiful the property was decorated. Melissa has fully stocked and furnished the home with the essentials. The bunk house was amazing. also. Melissa was very responsive, and property was as described. Will definitely stay there again.

From the start, Communication was A+ from Melissa. She was very quick to respond to any question. The house was very clean and the AC worked great! The kitchen was loaded with dishes, pots and pans, spices, saran wrap, foil, even cooking oil, brown sugar...little things you may have forgotten, etc. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets and towels. The check in/out process was easy. Very nice just having a doorcode. We LOVED the porch area. That's where we spent most of our time. The fire pit area was nice. Plenty of seating and there were marshmallow sticks. We also had our son and his family stay in the "bunkhouse" which they loved.Such a great space!! The only downfall is that it's wasnt close to Tatman Run where we swam everyday(25mins away) but I knew when I booked it was a little farther. Friday and Saturday nights the atvs were pretty loud going back and forth, but I already knew that from looking at reviews. We have rented many cabins and this one had alot of "stuff", you could almost say "clutter" but it was part of the decor and it really didnt get in the way.
