I got a room at a very decent price, especially when you consider that this is a hotel in the very centre of a city (on the main street, you can hardly miss it!). All the main sights in Banska Stiavnica are nearby.
The ladies at the reception and in the restaurant were very friendly.
Nothing to complain about as to the restaurant - for some reason, the breakfast was a buffet on the first morning, and a la carte on the second one (excellent frankfurters!).
My room on the fifth and last floor was comfortable but lacked any air conditioning - so it was pretty hot, with stiff air, being just under the roof in early June. I had to keep the window open all day to try to get some fresh air when I came back in the evening. I don't know about other rooms, but the direction should really do something in this respect.
Please note that the elevator doesn't go further than the third floor.
There is a car park up a ramp on the side of the hotel, but it's very small, so if you plan to use it you should probably arrive early! For this reason I was lucky that very few people seemed to stay at the hotel when I was there - I was almost always alone in the restaurant too.
