This is, for the most part, a great property. The rooftop bar has absolutely stunning views and the tabletop firepits are great touch. All of the staff at TRU were exceptionally friendly and all requests were met with attention and with grace. There are some things the hotel can/should do that will make the property an absolute must for stays in Dallas.
1 - The 24-hour tea and coffee is not really 24 hours. We came in very late after a function to find the coffee and hot water carafes absent. The desk staff got us two cups of hot water, when requested, but coffee was not available.
2. The parking/valet policy needs to be more clearly either outlined or enforced. We didn't use the valet our entire stay and were still charged the $35 fee. When I asked whether the fee was for parking or for the concierge, I didn't get a clear answer. If guests can park at their own, and at their own risk, why then are we charged a parking fee?
3. There were NO working outdoor outlets for my EV. And, EV aside, this just seems like a bad situation. It was a big inconvenience for my family and for me to find an alternate charging location when we were at a property that should have had just a basic source.
