Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I only saw 2 employees during my entire stay; so it may have been a staffing issue...
I had a hot shower, but that's where the positives end. It looked like the room wasn't properly cleaned before my check-in. Dust, debris, and even a used band-aid all over the floor. The microwave likely hasn't been cleaned in years, the heat/AC unit was in disrepair, the shower drain was clogged, there was a hole in the the wall, and bloodstains on the bedding. And judging by the placement of said stains (along the top edge), I'm guessing that blanket has seen some things it wishes it could forget.
Red Roof is usually a solid budget hotel chain. I was pretty surprised I ended up with such a sketchy room.
