We needed a place close to the Shasta Caverns, and this seemed convenient. On the positive side, the assistant manager who checked us in was very nice and helpful. When I walked into the room, it was like going back in time sixty years, which was not a bad thing; it was kind of nostalgic, actually. The room was also very clean.
It is, though, bare-bones, with no extra frills, which is fine for just an overnight stay. Interstate 5 is very close, so you’ll hear traffic, especially trucks, all night long, but I always travel with earplugs. A suggestion I would make is maybe put a tableside lamp on the other side of the bed as well. And maybe a luggage rack to put your suitcase on inside the closet. Also, the mattress was very, very firm, so maybe bed toppers would help? Other than those few things, our experience was pleasant, and I would recommend it.
