Romantic cosy cottage, pet friendly with pretty garden near Padstow and beaches

Ideally situated for exploring Cornwall, this charming romantic little cottage is semi- detached in the rural village of St Issey, and end on to the lane that leads down to the scenic camel trail (2.5 miles). Only 4 miles from the unspoilt fishing harbour of Padstow with its famous Seafood restaurants, boat trips and art galleries. The beautiful sandy beaches of the stunning North Cornish coast is also only 4 miles away and offer many exciting beach and surfing activities, along with some fantastic coastal walks.
Enjoy your holiday in this well furnished and 'own home' property that combines all the modern comforts needed for a relaxing holiday, with a cosy cottage feel, gently decorated in neutral colours.
The small pretty sunny garden is enclosed with patio area with table, chairs and BBQ, perfect for al fresco summer dinning or relaxing afternoons.
The sunny porch has two chairs and leads to the open-plan, full length of the cottage living/dining room with character Inglenook at one end, comfy chairs and cosy open fire at the other. There are plenty of magazines and books in the bookcase, along with local maps, walking books and holiday suggestions and the dresser contains a selection of family games and jigsaws etc There is Freeview TV and DVD player with a selection of films, and if you are unlucky enough to have to bring your work with you, there is Wi-Fi broadband.
The well equipped fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, electric cooker, and microwave, and table and chairs. The separate loo is next to the bathroom with a shower over the bath, suite and heated towel rail.
Open tread stairs lead from the dining room to the two cosy bedrooms, one double and one twin ( 2'6 beds)

Whether your holiday is with family or friends, for beach holidays or an out of season walking break, The Cottage will make the perfect holiday retreat.

Changeover day is Saturday.

Hübsches Cottage in guter Lage
Ein hübsches Haus in guter Lage um das nördliche Cornwall zu erkunden. Nicht weit zum Strand und ein guter Startpunkt für Touren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin problemlos und nett (Danke noch einmal, Jane! :-) ) Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen!

relaxing and quiet location
Very nice and tastefully furnished house. All necessary equipment was available. The distances to the beach and to various towns and shopping opportunities (Padstow, Newquay etc.) were short. The very friendly and customer-oriented owners (note: the property is scheduled to be sold this year!) were on site impeccably when there were problems and solved them easily. However, the roads are very narrow and driving takes some getting used to, especially for left-hand drive vehicles

The Cottage with teens
The Cottage is a little oasis of calm in the beautiful Cornish countryside! Close to Padstow and the Camel trail, The Cottage is perfectly situated to make easy day trips to Tintagel, beaches, restaurants and pubs. Easter Weekend April 2024
An amazing time we have had in this beautiful cottage owned by Jane. Absolutely lovely and highly recommend. So peaceful, close to shops, towns especially Padstow where you will find Rick Steins restaurants and fish and chips shop. Close to some amazing attractions and beaches too. This is a beautiful place to stay if you just want some peace and quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

A Relaxing Christmas
We stayed at the cottage in June and decided to return for Christmas. We had such a relaxing peaceful time. The cottage was beautifully decorated and Jane even left us a gift which was very much appreciated. Enjoyed beach walks, despite the rain, the cottage was so cosy to return to. We cooked Christmas lunch very easily in the fully equiped kitchen, it was certainly a home from home. We will certainly return again and can fully recommend this location.

Wonderful cosy cottage; we felt @home from the very first moment. Jane was very welcoming and gave lots of useful information and tips. Cosy Cornish Cottage
We had a lovely stay in this cosy cottage which was the perfect base for exploring this beautiful area. The cottage was very clean and there was so much attention to detail which made it very homely with everything you could ask for. Amazing beaches which are dog friendly and great for paddle boarding. There were so many places to visit but we loved Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock the best. Highly recommended.

Lovely Cottage
2 weeks in the Cottage. Property is lovely and quaint and we'll positioned for Padstow, Rock, Harlyn Bay, Constantine Bay etc. St Issey is small and pretty but no shops only the Church and Pub. Ring O Bells do a very nice pub dinner. Jane was very helpful and a great host. Recommended is the Ivy House restaurant in St Merryn. Very nice food and atmosphere.

When arriving found it very clean and a cream tea waiting for us in the kitchen.Also left us milk in the fridge which I thought was vert thoughtful as first thing we did was put the kettle on after along journey!Everything we needed was in the cottage and we could contact the owner at anytime.

Well equipped comfortable cottage. Nice garden to relax with a drink. Quaint rather than modern style but everything you would want for a holiday. Car parking space very tight but manageable (unless you have a large 4x4). Well placed for exploring the area.

A Peaceful Stay & Perfect Base
The property is as described. Obviously very old but well maintained and the thickness of the walls meant that it offered some shade and coolness when needed, as we were lucky enough to have fantastic weather throughout our stay. It has a lovely little secluded garden and being tucked down a lane in a small village like St Issey, it was incredibly peaceful and we loved sitting out with just the birds as company

A most beautiful well equipped cottage close to major attractions. Lovely enclosed garden for the evening sun and so perfect for the dog. Jane thought of everything and left flowers, a cream tea and milk! We would definitely consider returning next summer or even christmas.

Beautiful Cottage near Padstow
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cottage. The location is perfect to explore Cornwall. Facilities in the cottage are fantastic and we loved the personal touch of flowers, Easter chocolates and biscuits. We would recommend this accommodation without doubt.

A lovely, cosy cottage
The Cottage at St Issey is really cosy and comfortable. In a great situation just a mile or so outside of Padstow, and so peaceful. Everything you could possibly need had been thought of. Our stay at the beginning of October had sunny days with chilly evenings, but the cottage is beautifully warm. Spotlessly clean and obviously well cared for. We loved our visit. The only thing we found a bit difficult was with the bathroom being downstair and no upstairs loo. Not a problem in general, but something to be aware of for older holidaymakers. Thank you Jane and Roger, it has been a pleasure visiting your lovely home. Diane and Barry.
