No hot water, ants on the sink, very old building, no one on staff spoke any English, would not call us a taxi, really poor part of town although close to the zocalo and waterfront. We were the only Canadians or Americans there and that put stress on the staff, for which we felt bad.
The hotel was simple, but very affordable with very nice water view, good internet, lots of channel on TV, and the staff was super nice and friendly (speaking English perfectly)! The hotel is very central, not far from La Quebrada (Cliff Divers), Fort San Diego, the Diego Rivera Mural and the Lady of Solitude Cathedral. They are shops and restaurants all around.I like the hotel so much that I extended my stay.
This was an overall great stay. The staff are friendly and the area is good. The flea market is close and the beach is right across the street. The only things I encountered is that it is an older building so the noise level doesnât calm down as much as I would expect and the ac only cools to about 24-C. The building it is in is charming and the views are great.
