Henley Beach House

This two storey stand alone house offers spacious and comfortable living.

Downstairs comprises of large living area with open dining and lounge areas. The lounge room has a large screen plasma television, a dvd player. The dining area adjoins a spacious and modern kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, oven, dishwasher, filtered water and microwave.

Downstairs also has one bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. The laundry is fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron. There are also facilities to hang clothes outside if desired.

Backyard includes a recently decked area with outdoor settings and bbq.

Upstairs comprises of bedroom areas, bathroom, second toilet, large rumpus (with lounge, plasma and dvd), sunroom and two balconies. A large balcony faces the beach.

The house has reverse cycled air conditioning and ceiling fans in most rooms.

The property is very secure with high fence and electric gate. Garage has remote control. The property provides secure parking for at least 2 cars.

All linen is provided at no extra charge (single beds need to be made if used). All bathroom towels and some beach towels are provided.

Entry time on day of arrival is usually 2 pm (or negotiated) and departure time by 10 am.

Sorry no pets allowed.

Bedroom Configurations

The house has three bedrooms.

Downstairs has one bedroom. This room has a queen size bed and a single bunk bed. Can sleep 4 (suggested maximum 2 adults and 2 children). This room has a wall plasma tv.

Upstairs has two bedrooms. The first has a queen size bed and a double bunk bed. Can sleep 4 (suggested maximum 2 adults and 2 children).

The second bedroom upstairs with facing the sea is spacious and has one queen size bed.

(The rumpus room upstairs can be used as a fourth bedroom if desired by modifying lounge suite).


Location

The house is conveniently located on Seaview Road. It is located in between Henley Beach Jetty and Grange Jetty; approximately 1 km from either. The beach is across the road. The beach is smooth and sandy; great for walking, playing and swimming.

There are many excellent cafes, restaurants and hotels within walking distance. West Lakes Shopping Centre is a major centre a short drive away. Harbour Town is also a major brand direct outlet shopping centre also close by car.

Adelaide City is approximately 11 kms away. There is a bus stop literally outside the house which takes you into the city.

Adelaide Airport is approximately 7 kms away.

One street from beach

This is a great property for groups as there's plenty of bedding options & 2 living areas. Ducted aircon & ceiling fans throughout make it a comfortable spot during warmer weather. Sue was fantastic to deal with, allowing us to check in early which was very much appreciated. She was quick to answer any questions we had & gave clear instructions.The layout of the house makes it fun to explore & the views from the upstairs bedrooms are both great (one of the water, one of the city).There's plenty of seating in the living room. A large dining table seats 8 & the smaller one in the living room seats 4.The kitchen was fairly well equipped. Although there wasn't a large dish to make lasagne, there was disposable BBQ trays in the pantry so that saved us.

Great property for families, it is very close to the beach and all other restaurants, cafes and shopping centre are aÄșl within a reasonable walking distance. The host is very reponsive and amenable and we had fantastic stay.

Awesome house for families

This property was brilliant for what we needed. Plenty of space for a family to spread out, clean and all the amenities that you could need plus everything was labelled (so helpful!). The location was amazing with the beach a very short distance and the shops and restaurants an easy walk away. Communication with Sue was easy and helpful. Will definitely look to stay again. Spacious with all we needed.

I booked this property for my cousin‘s family, three adults and three children, but I visited several times with my family. It is a good location with a very short walk across the road and down a small street to lovely Henley Beach. Location is wonderful, particularly if you have a vehicle, as the shops are a kilometer or so away. Lots of areas to relax so that adults and kids have their own space. The adults said that they had everything they needed in the kitchen, linens etc. for a wonderful stay. Great barbecue also.

Great Beach House

Stayed here for Christmas. Huge property! Everyone could find their own corner to escape to. Beautiful old Adelaide 1950s architecture with mod cons like ducted air-conditioning. Extremely comfy beds - best night's sleep I've had all year. Great swimming beach accross road and easy walk to Henley Square restaurants and Grange hotel. Beautiful sunsets from huge upper deck, and view of the hills from the East rooms and rear balcony. Will stay here again!

Great location beach a stones throw!

We had a lovely stay at Sue’s place, everything was well labelled and easy to navigate. The house is huge!! There is a lot of space so you aren’t on top of one another. We are a family of 4 but two families could comfortably stay here. The security is very good. It had everything we needed plus more. Best of all the beach was right across the road.

Spacious and perfect location, for our family

Upon arrival we found the home clean had everything we needed, we had elderly and frail parents, the bedroom downstairs bathroom, kitchen with a few steps served them well. The beach across the road was so convenient. We use the beach sitting chair found in the garage. Felt secure and very handy having remote electric gate and garage door. Spacious bedrooms and all the facilities needed. Even though some things need could do with being updating. We will be coming back and recommending. Thankyou Sue for sharing your lovely space.

Excellent property and unbeatable location

This property is very well equipped and is located perfectly. It can cater for large groups and has everything that you could possibly ask for. The fact that it has multiple outdoor areas means that you can choose different locations, depending on the time of day. We will certainly stay at this property in Henley Beach again.

Homely Beach House

The property was so much more than we expected. A double length garage was excellent for storing a kayak and bikes. The size of the house made it very comfortable for a group of six adults and visitors for our stay during the Tour Down Under. High ceilings kept the house at a pleasant temperature. Instructions for the house very well laid out and practical. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Perfect beach holiday house

We stayed in The Henley Beach House in January 2020. The location is great- across the road from the beach entrance and beach itself is nice and quiet, with white and crispy sand. In 10-15 min walk there are plenty of cafes and a grocery store. The house is quite large and will easily fit two families. It has everything you'd expect in good working order. Climate control is great and quickly cools the property. We enjoyed the BBQ on the shaded deck as well. Thumbs up to the hosts -- minor maintenance issue was sorted almost immediately without any hassle for us. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, by the beach, half way between Grange and Henley Bridge jetties. Lots of space at this place, with a couple of living spaces for kids to do their own thing. Nice little outdoor area, great for breakfast and BBQ's. Awesome place to get away for a week.

Spacious living areas and bedrooms plus good options for outdoor living. Would suit a couple of families. Comfortable beds. Great location. Good parking options. A couple of negatives: loud traffic noise in front bedroom (I don't think the windows close properly); would prefer a top sheet on the beds rather than doona only - too hot; need to update some items in the kitchen eg a new dish brush, glad wrap, wobbly bar stools, a couple more tea towels would be good. Having said all this, I would stay at the house again but make sure I didn't get the front bedroom!

Large well equipped house in great location

Had an excellent holiday in this big house just two minutes from a fantastic beach. On arrival we were a little disappointed that not all the house was as modern as the lounge - some rooms had very dated decor and furniture - but the rooms were large and the beds and sofa extremely comfy. The kitchen, though not modern and sleek, had lots of cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment. The washing machine, tumble drier and clothes line on the rear decking were so brilliant to have and we enjoyed breakfast every day outside. Although the outside table needs sanding down and re-staining a table cloth was supplied to cover it. There were beach towels and beach toys and a cupboard full of toys and games for children and having a second lounge upstairs also gave space for people to get away from each other. The wifi was nice to have but patchy - sometimes it was very slow and we ended up using our own wifi device to send photos or other big files. The location was superb, about half way between Henley and Grange piers, with good cafes and shops either side , just a 15-20 minute walk along the sandy beach. The bus stops are right outside the house if you want them, but we walked or used the car for further afield. Sue left us a lovely welcome present , thanks for that Sue, and was very easy to deal with. It's not the place to stay if you want an ultra modern house but if you want space for two families by the beach then this place is a good choice. We would happily come back. Thanks for renting to us Sue.
