Located in a peaceful and authentic setting, you’ll find total relaxation while being just 600 meters from the sea and only a 3-minute drive from the lively towns of Sisi and Malia.

At Chalet Sissi, you can soak up the sun on the spacious terrace, plan unforgettable trips, and in the evening, enjoy a glass of wine while watching the spectacular sunset over the sea.
The space
Chalet Sissi is my personal happy place – and since 2024, I’ve been sharing it with guests who want to experience Crete in a peaceful, authentic, and stunning setting.

Here’s a good idea of what to expect. If you have any questions, just reach out!

The house is 57 sqm, with three balconies and a spacious terrace – perfect for outdoor living. My past guests have told me they loved the setup, especially the outdoor spaces, which made it ideal for couples, solo travelers seeking peace, small families, or a group of friends. Every room has direct access to the outside.

With large windows all around, the house is filled with natural light – and no matter where you look, there’s always a sea view.

Three balconies with stunning views over the Bay of Hersonissos and the island of Día


Location:

The chalet is in a small, authentic neighborhood where you can experience real Cretan life. Many of my guests have been looking for the perfect balance between a peaceful retreat and easy access to great sights. If that sounds like you, this is the perfect base for exploring waterfalls, caves, stunning beaches, and many more hidden gems.

Nearest beach: 600 m downhill (small & quiet)
Potamos Beach: 5 min drive (great for a day trip)
Malia: 3 min drive (more restaurants & shops)
The lively promenade of Hersonissos (18 min)
Water Park: 18 min drive (perfect with kids)

Agios Nikolaos (30 min) – a charming harbor town

I highly recommend renting a car to explore the island flexibly. Free parking is available 50 meters below the house.

If you’re expecting a sterile hotel with full service, this might not be the right fit. Chalet Sissi is a cozy, authentic home in a Greek neighborhood – filled with character and stunning views.

Other things to note
A few things to keep in mind:

Pure nature: The house is surrounded by Mediterranean landscapes. That means you might encounter insects like ants, spiders, or even the occasional local cockroach – especially if windows are left open.
Not wheelchair accessible: There are steps and elevation changes – the stunning view comes with a hillside location.
Typical Greece: You might see some unfinished buildings in the area, but they won’t affect your stay.
Authentic neighborhood: The surrounding area is home to real Cretans. That means you might see a farmer passing by on his tractor, hear a shepherd’s sheep, or occasionally notice a dog barking at night.

But there is also something very decelerating about all of this. If you’re excited to experience the real Crete in a relaxed atmosphere, Chalet Sissi is the perfect place for you!
