Nice place, great view as advertised. Gated community. Did not like the fact that the bathroom mirror is not over the sink. Going up and down the spiral staircase is not for older adults. And I hate the fact you have to go through VRBO to communicate with the owner. Painful.

Overall it is a wonderful place with a Fantastic view. Falling asleep to the sounds of crashing waves does a tired body good.20 minutes to Mendocino, 30 minutes to Fort Bragg makes it an Ideal spot for sightseeing and enjoying the Splendor of the Mendocino Coast.

Definitely a million dollar view! Very private and quiet, comfortable bed and furnishings. Cozy, romantic, eclectic. Some deferred maintenance. The kitchen is workable but the cookware needs updating. Recommend!

Relaxing and recharging trip!

The property known as "Desire" has the perfect location for everything you'd like to do in the Mendocino area. It's very easy to find and has a view that is out-of-this-world! Desire is quiet and comfortable and perfect for two! Traveling in June, it was a little chilly to sit on the deck, but perfect for the hot tub. We had a great vacation! Thank you!

Fantastic location

The view from the property was incredible! The house had everything we needed and was in a perfect location for all the activities we wanted to do. It was a little cold in the mornings and we couldn't get the dishwasher to work properly, but other than that, we really enjoyed staying here.

Loved our stay! But could use some TLC

Firstly, we absolutely loved our stay! My husband and I came for an extended weekend to celebrate my birthday and loved the quiet, relaxing, tranquil setting. We spent several hours on the back porch reading and watching the waves crash against the rocks. The neighborhood was quiet and secluded and the host was friendly and communicative and responded quickly. That being said, there were several items we noticed throughout our stay that needed a little TLC and ultimately it’s why I dropped one star. When we arrived, there was an overall musty, damp smell. Fortunately we were able to open all the doors and ventilate. On our last night, a storm came in and the outside door next to the bed would not latch and blew open with each gust of wind. We were able to wedge the door shut with a sock and place something in front of it, but the screen door still rattled and banged all night. Other minor items to note are visible decay on the exterior doors and windows. If you’re not fussy or particular, then I absolutely recommend a stay here! But do keep in mind, this is no high-end resort feeling, my husband said it’s closer to “roughing it” than our typical vrbo stays.

Very Nice Get-A-Way Location

We had a wonderful time! No issues with the property. Due to the staircase and stepdown shower, it isn't handicap friendly, but we navigated the property fine. It was a little closer to Highway 1 than I anticipated, so there was some traffic noise during the day time. Other than that, it was a beautiful place.

Beautiful inside. Definitely needs some work outside but owner said they are redoing deck this month (there was a broken board we had to navigate but not a big deal). Spiral staircase would be a no go for anyone unsteady but it worked for ys.
