I want to give a fair review so I'll list the good as well as the bad. Checking in and communication was easy. The pictures of the property as advertised are very accurate. The location is decent, very close to Old Town and Sawmill Market. Unfortunately, the apartment has a very strong smell. As soon as we walked in, I knew it was going to be difficult to tolerate. It looks clean but it doesn't smell clean. I had to buy air fresheners and plug ins to help mask the smell. The comforter also did not smell clean and the towels smelled like they were left in the washer too long. During our stay we experienced an incident in which police had the street next to us blocked off because of a suspect barricade in the house directly behind us. I understand it is not a daily occurrence but it was worrisome. I booked the property for 3 nights but after the 2nd night I really didn't feel comfortable staying so we left to stay with a friend. I would suggest to please do something about the smell and make sure all linens are cleaned after every guest.
The location was perfect for traveling between ABQ and Santa Fe. Listing described property as a home, but itâs actually an apartment- which worked out okay. Didnât hear neighbors or have any issues.
Hosts were very communicative and responsive. Would definitely recommend for a long weekend in ABQ.
The inside smelled real bad. There was no power in the bath room, and I mean not even the electrical outlets. The back door did not have a proper lock. There was a lot of dog feces in the small court yard, and there are several dogs behind the rental that barked all the time, We could not open the back door for fresh air, the screen had a very large whole were a animal had chewed it. The property manager was unconcerning with all the problem. So we lost everything we spent . Not worthy .
This place is very convenient to "Old Town", the Rio Grande bicycle trail and much more. The only thing that keeps me from giving five stars is the carpet. It looks old and has some stains on it. I often lay on the floor to stretch out my old arthritic back. I felt a little uncomfortable doing that on this carpet. It is "pet friendly" so I suppose the carpet is not a high priority for most people.
Place was amazing. Very COVID minded and clean. Welcoming as you walked in the space. Bed was a little hard for my liking, but other than that, a perfect place to book for a stay.
