Check in was super easy. Very clean and comfortable. The only negative was having to fill up the toilet with water to flush it. Other than that little inconvenience, we enjoyed our stay very much.

I eagerly booked this property on August 25, 2003, in anticipation of a special occasion in Alexandria scheduled for October. My family and I planned to celebrate the dedication of a historical marker in honor of my great-grandfather, Charles F. Page, a pioneer in aviation who built the world's first airship. However, on the check-in day, Thursday, October 5th, we were left in the dark as we never received any notifications from the property owner. Despite multiple attempts to contact him at 3:15, 8:30, and 9:00 pm, we received no response. After finally reaching out to VRBO customer service, we were shocked to learn that the owner had given our reservation away to a long-term guest, leaving us without a place to stay at 9:30 pm on what should have been the beginning of a beautiful weekend. This unprofessional and unexpected turn of events forced us to make last-minute hotel bookings, incurring several hundred dollars in additional expenses. While VRBO assured us of a full refund, I cannot recommend this property to anyone based on this unfortunate experience.

This was a really nice place to stay. If you are not use to a lot of traffic then it is not for you by a bust street. Very nice and clean. It was hard getting the owner on the phone but once we text on the app and phone everything worked out. I would stay again.

Cute efficient apartment with adequate space and amenities

Overall decent property. Great communication from property management. Good size, well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer were great to have for a week stay. Linens /bedding was clean and plentiful. (Could use a few additional throws for added layering). All was as described except the listing was a little confusing being the title stated one thing for bed size and count as well as bathroom count, and seemed to be a generic copy and pasted description as well, but after much communication with the property manager via vrbo all my questions were answered and I knew exactly what I was expecting upon arrival. The beds personally were not all that comfortable, a little too firm of a memory foam for my liking, could've been better with fuller pillows maybe..then you could elevate some. The lights from the modern in the one room were obnoxious if you prefer the dark to sleep, which I do. Still kers over the lights would be a GREAT ADDITION. Also multiple luggage racks would be great as there is no drawer storage for clothing. The night stand drawer just didn't work for clothing. Also a bed Fram that actually takes the beds off the floor would be great. There were no hangers in the closets, which were plenty big for clothes. Notified management and a day and a half later a random woman..housekeeping maybe brought SIX by...six random color who knows where they came from hangers..but definitely was NOT enough for a place that sleeps 6. And that was rented for a week. . Towel hanger on the back of the bathroom door would've been nice as wood some sort of table by the vanity itself..just not enough counter to store anything. Place couple definitely use a good spring cleaning..lots of dust around bed and curtains and windows, and the ac vent was DISGUSTING. I personally have cleaned homes professionally and while it was fine for what it was it was definitely not my standard. And not what you would expect having to pay cleaning fees to stay. Tvs were a plus also. Kitchen could also use another surface to work on or store thing. There is not enough storage options especially if your there for a feel and plan to have all your meals there. We ended up using the ironing board against the wall by the bedroom to house all of our dry goods. The place would also benefit from having a rug for the front door...it rained while we were there and it was a pain having to keep drying the floor and tracking stuff all over.

The bayou is amazing.

I'm a nature loved so I naturally migrated to the backyard which borders Roberts Bayou. It's a great place to enjoy the variety of waterfowl that Louisiana has to offer. It's a really peaceful spot. The unit itself is packed with TVs, and every convenience you could want. It is close to shopping, restaurants, and anything else you might need.

Convenient Location

The location is perfect for the purpose of our visit to Alexandria! The apartment was clean and comfy. Rex was always attentive to our communications and that is very much appreciated. I provided suggestions of small things to add and they were well received. I gave four (4) stars for Accuracy of Online Listing only because it described two (2) bathrooms (1-full; 1- 1/2 bath) and there was actually only one (1) bathroom for us three adults. We will definitely consider this location again for future visits to town.

Nice VRBO duplex.
