Cozy House on Swan Lake in Allegan

Story and a half with walkout basement. New flooring and paint. Two full bathrooms and half bath upstairs. Two refrigerators. Cozy and peaceful location. Lawn with sandy area by lake. Approximately 120 ft from back of cottage to sandy beach area. Dock provided and two kayaks. Close to Allegan and Kal-Haven trails. Also close to wine country in Holland/Saugatuck. If you want to see majestic Lake Michigan go to South Haven which is 30 minutes from here. Sandy beaches and cute tourist stores. Wood stove in living room in addition to furnace for colder months. Lake has swans, geese, eagles and ducks. Fish off of dock (couple of fishing poles included). Swan Lake general store and gas station 1 mile away. You can literally find everything at this store! NO parties or events (like reunions, weddings, rehearsals, etc). *****If it is discovered that more people were invited you will be charged $600.00 ***** No dogs or cats. No Smoking

Great place to stay. The house was very spacious and clean. Nice set up for families. Our host Sylvia was fabulous, very responsive to texts. Swan Lake is beautiful. Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy it more.

Great family getaway and memories

This was our first time vacationing with both of our kids and their families and it was perfect. We had 5 adults and 4 children ages 3-9. The set up of the house allowed my husband and I to be on the main floor, my daughter and family in the basement, and my son and family to be upstairs which worked well for us. Booking and check in was easy. Plenty of toys and games for the kids and well stocked with most anything you would need. Great communication from Sylvia. While there, we enjoyed fishing, kayaking, playing in the sand and water, and a campfire with s’mores. We saw swans come around the dock a couple of times. We went to the Lake Michigan coast and enjoyed the farmers market, lunch at Clementines and beach time at South Beach in South Haven, a dune buggy ride, lunch at the Southerner, and paddle wheel excursion in Saugatuck. Great time with the family.

Family weekend getaway

We had a great weekend with our children and grand child! The cottage was perfect size for all 7 adults and a very active 2 yr old! There was plenty of toys for him inside and the beach toys came in handy every day at the water! We kayaked and fished, sat around fire, laughing and enjoying all the moments as a family! This was a great rental with fabulous hospitalityHighly recommend

Family reunion

We loved our week here! Lots of room, very clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Enjoyed the lake . Beautiful view from the deck. Beds were comfortable, nice towels! We have already booked our vacation here again for 2026!

Exceeded Expectations

My family spent 7 days at the lake house and we were all very pleased with houses and location. House was clean and in very good repair, amenities were exceeded details on the web sight, check in was keyless and easy. We were greeted by a dozen chocolate chip cookies on the kitchen table that lasted all of five minutes. Sylvia was quick to respond to any questions we had and the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend the property.

Swan Lake House was amazing!

This house was not just a house, it felt like home the minute we walked in. This owner had everything imaginable to make the place feel so comfortable and she didn’t miss anything! The sheets and pillows on the beds were a great quality, the towels for the beach, and in the bathrooms were not cheap and thin, they were big and fluffy, There was plenty of paper products and other items in the kitchen for us to use in case we forgot something! This home had so much character and had so much to do for all ages from 22 to 60! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to Get back there again next year!

Beautiful home, Lovely spot

This home was absolutely perfect for our family...11 of us traveled here to have a visit with my son and family who lives close by. So quite frequently there were 14 people wandering about during our week-long stay. The kitchen is fully functional with large enough pots to cook for my crowd--and even stocked with basic supplies. The available activities perfect for ALL the ages--fishing, kayaking, bikes, and sand toys for outside...and blocks, books, and games for inside. We even made use of the gas grill for a family steak dinner one night. The beds were comfortable. The whole house is nicely decorated, and quite comfortable.

A very good summer getaway

We had a very good peaceful time with a gorgeous view on the lake. The house is very well equipped, nice and clean. The check-in was very easy and the owners were quick to respond to any questions we had.
