A beautifully restored mansion house. Attention to detail and convenience. Sparkling clean and old and grand at the same time. Breakfast amazing with food choices. Delicious and beautifully served. Our own table -no group tables - Staff lovely. Common room set up for guests comfort and convenience with coffee tea water wine and snacks. I would live there if I could!!

Cute Inn. Service is good. A bug crawling on me in the middle of the night while I was sleeping and this was an unpleasant shocking experience.

We arrived a bit late so they reached out to us and said: reception close at 22:00 ( no one available over night ) and main door close at 22:10. We asked for baby crib I as we have 6 months baby, they gave us one partly broken so we have to have the baby with us in bed. When we got our keys, I noticed my in-low’s room has 2 keys 2 for the room and one for main door, where our room has 1 key I assumed they forget to give a key for the room as the 1 we have is big for the main door. To my surprise later the same key for main door open my room as well, I was shocked that anyone literally in the hotel would have access to my room since it’s a matching key for everyone, I has to secure it from inside with little sofa from inside just to have the peace of mind and sleep. I had my in-law’s with me, next morning they wanted to shower, and the shower was broken they offered us to move to another room so they can use the facility. To summarize the hotel or as they call the mansion is expensive when the night is over 400 USD, I would expect a better customer service, better security and room ready to use not such situation with the shower, over all experience is barely okay, highly priced with minimum service and quite old furniture. Staff nice and helpful tho

Delightful and enjoyable

Friendly staff greeted us and our room was delightful. Exceptionally clean and decorated. We admired the antiques in our room and throughout. They even offered us a nightcap in the parlor. An especially memorable stay.

Could hear road noise. Could hear the kitchen staff talking and laughing in the kitchen area. Cleaning staff was cleaning the floors and you could smell the cleaning chemicals while eating. The worse part: arrived in the room to find a card welcoming my husband and I. My husband died almost a year ago! Not good…

The Sayre Mansion is a historic house in lovely condition. Beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed. One of the hostesses gave us a tour of the house, which is pretty amazing. It was a very pleasant experience.

I've stayed at several top-shelf historic inns throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic. The Sayre Mansion Inn is by far the most comfortable, spacious, and personalized. We were given a really thorough tour by Matt, who gave us insights into the different nooks and crannies, some of which may be haunted :) The breakfast was excellent and we were happy to have a water machine right outside our door. I would love to come back to the area and stay again!!!

Disappointed!

I was very disappointed that they had no good black tea. I had Bigelow brand green and flavored tea, and only offered Lipton black tea. After the first night I asked that at least offer English Breakfast and Earl Grey Tea, however it never changed. They charge a lot of money, however they expect you to happy with Lipton! I have had better quality tea at Holiday Inn. I seem to remember last year they had Tazo brand teas. Also, they buy fake maple syrup (high fructose corn syrup) in bulk. No real maple syrup in this over priced B&B. I have been coming here for years, however the quality is clearly missing now. Still expensive rate, however cheap on the guest!
