The rooms was fantastic, large and clean, very comfortable bed and while it is a bit 'cookie cutter' in appearance, it's what you need to get a good nights sleep before a flight. The staff were good and the shuttle rocketed me on time so can't complain. Only 'negative' thing is that the hallways near the lifts/elevators could use some updating, otherwise, great place.

1. Surprised that a hotel with five floors has only one luggage cart. 2. The coffee machine in the lobby was out of order. 3. When we ate in the hotel, two of the three draught beers were not working. 4. We understand the need to restrict the volume on the televisions, but they were so low, when we turned on the fan (it was very hot that date) we were unable to hear. 5. Since this is listed as an airport hotel, it would make sense for guests to be able to print their boarding passes. We were told we could not use the printer in the lobby.

Busy hotel close to Manchester airport. Friendly staff, generously sized nice rooms, good food in restaurant. A/C thermostat settings difficult to adjust. Great hotel for travellers.

A good enough stay.

We arrive late in the evening. They told us that there was no paper work to suggest that we needed a cot for our small toddler. This being said, they got us one put in the room right away, before we even unpacked. The room was clean and a good temperature. Did find it a little inconvenient that there was no tub to bathe our little one in...as she will not go in the shower. Would be an ok place to stay for a night before getting on a plane.

Premier SOUTH

There are two Premier hotels side by side. We were in Premier South, and it was pleasant. Extremely busy... but surpisingly quiet. Parking was 5 pounds payable on site... Beds were a little hard, but the rooms were quiet and clean. Priced the same as onsite airport hotels, which is probably the only negative. Would recommend.

Hotel and restaurant are good.

Not close to the airport so you can take a bus, but only if the driver stops for you since there is not an official stop for the hotel. A taxi is probably best. A shuttler is available to the airport.

Nice Convenient Accommodation

We stayed here overnight on our way back home. It was very convenient being so close to the airport. We arrived late and missed dinner but the staff helped us order in food and provided us with plates and cutlery. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would recommend this hotel.

Air conditioning is a joke!

Checking in was unpleasant. The front desk clerk, a Croatian woman in her forties, was quite abrupt while checking me in. Since I made my booking through Expedia, she was unable to find my reservation immediately and acted as if it were somehow my fault by saying repeatedly, "Well, I don't see your reservation here." She didn't smile once. The rooms are modern and clean with lots of extra space to move around. The air conditioner was broken in the first room I was assigned, so I called the front desk and they assigned me to a new room within an hour. The second room's air conditioner did work, but only barely and not nearly enough to make a difference in the room's temperature, which was 24 degrees Celsius---an improvement from the first room which was 26 degrees according to the thermostat. The best part was opting in for the dinner and breakfast special. Both were delicious and convenient. Also, the wait staff was very attentive without being obtrusive.

Most convenient to airport

The Premier Hotel - Manchester - is elegant, modern, perfectly clean, has efficient services, brochures for local attractions, and is very close to the Manchester Airport. It provides excellent choices for breakfast, along with reserved seats (when you order and pay for breakfast in advance). Prices are reasonable, large double beds provided. Two suggestions: (1) Please have instructions by the door re how to turn on electricity in the room! You must your key card in a slot by the door. (2) In warm weather, please provide a sheet under the duvet, as the elegant duvet is too hot! We enjoyed our stay, had a good sleep, tasty buffet breakfast, and the shuttle van to the airport met us outside the main entry door. Well-recommended.

One or Two Useful Notes

Overall, great stay. Friendly staff, very nice rooms. A few things to be aware of however. Firstly, the shuttle service to the airport is NOT 24 hour. It only runs for a few hours in the morning (£3) and only from the hotel to the airport, not the airport to the hotel. At any other time you will need to get a taxi (approx. £5 - £7). The other thing to be aware of is that there are two Premier Inns across the parking lot from each other. Make sure you know whether you are booked for the north or south location, especially if coming in late at night when being sent back and forth between the two is the last thing you want to be doing. Lastly, if you have any major questions about your booking, make sure to call them in advance. When they are busy, the phone tells you to call back at another time and then hangs up on you rather than putting you on hold. It can be difficult to get through at peak hours. Once navigated however, this is for the most part an excellent choice of hotel.

Excellent room (minus technical problems)

Had a little trouble with the phone not working, then the heat not working, and having to switch rooms more than once - without any help from staff (had to go up and down to get the numerous keys). However, the restaurant staff were fantastic! The room surpassed my expectations - very clean and well decorated. Overall, a fantastic stay! Location - close to airport, very convenient. However, about 25-30 mins away from city centre.

This is an airport hotel, and thus fairly basic. Price is right for the convenience of being by the airport. For early flights, breakfast starting at 6:30 is too late. Should realize their clientele may be leaving early. Surprising there isn't a free shuttle to and from the hotel and airport.

Seriously Read My Review About This Bad Experience

The hotel has a very uncomfortable bed and pillows, so don't expect to get a good night sleep here. As for the hotel service it is not up to par like it should be because I find the staff to be very unhelpful. Furthermore, the staff in the dining area don't listen to the customers concerns. Phone didn't work so if someone tries to call you outside of the country then you better hope that they go online and email you because they will not get through to you by phone even though I asked the staff to correct this problem on several occasions. Well, I hope this review helps and if you decide to stay at this hotel after reading this review then don't complain because this is your window of opportunity to save your time and money. Thank you.
