Summary:
Look Far is a delightful, quirky and cosy End Terrace located up Peggy Hill in part of old Ambleside yet so quiet and only a moments walk to the popular market town.

The property is set over 3 floors lending itself to the stunning views throughout every window, with four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms there is room for all the friendly or a group of friends.

The Space:
Look Far is ideal for those who love the great outdoors, with walks directly from the doorstep plus an outhouse for bike storage - A parking Pass can be purchased for local parks and will be reimbursed for your stay (nearest car park a three minute walk) Plus parking can be usually found adjacent to the property (although not guaranteed)

On the ground floor is a cosy open plan kitchen dining, living area with original slate floor, contemporary country kitchen, range oven and nespresso coffee machine.

The dining area comfortably seats 6 people and is the heart of the home.

On the first floor is a spacious second lounge / bedroom with a king sized sofa bed, cosy single bedroom and family bathroom.

Two charming further bedrooms are located on the top of the house, one king and one single room with a shower room located between them. Local natural Pure Lakes toiletries are present in each bathroom.

Guest Access:
Guest's are able to use the whole property throughout their stay - A 3/5/7 day parking pass for the local car park will be reimbursed during your stay.

Parking can also be found adjacent to the property although not guaranteed (further information provided on booking)

Located just a few moments walk from Ambleside Town Centre yet in an elevated a quiet position

An excellent base for exploring the area

Lovely colourful decor. Comfortable beds. Good provision for self-catering. Easy access to the town and shops. Expected parking to be a bit tricky at times but most of the time, we could park outside.

Our family of 4 enjoyed a fabulous 10 days in this perfectly located property. Loved the quirky decor and the house was well equipped for our needs. Parking was only downside but parking pass for local car park was provided at no extra cost. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic comfy cottage

We have had a fantastic stay in this cottage. It's really well equipped, warm and comfortable. There is plenty of space for us and our 2 kids (9 and 14). Good size and pleasant outdoor space and South facing to soak up the sunshine. The best thing about the cottage is its location 2 minutes from the centre of Ambleside but really tucked away and peaceful. We only used our car once in a week and enjoyed many walks from our doorstep. Sue the owner was brilliant at responding to messages and quick to sort out a minor problem. We really recommend this cottage and we'll definitely book it again.

Excellent location and cosy base for a lovely walking holiday

Our second visit to Lookfar and we enjoyed it just as much though the weather wasn't quite as wonderful. All of Ambleside is on the doorstep and when it was raining, we had space and facilities to enjoy. Very comfy beds, good showers, large TV, maps and guides for the area.

Perfect location, beautiful views, all mod cons.

We were very happy with the cottage. It was well-equipped, cosy, and perfectly situated. We had a mixed bag of weather, but I can't blame the property for that. The beds were very comfortable, the wifi worked well, the TV was high quality, the cooker worked, and there is a very useful outside drying / laundry room. The location is the best bit though. One minor point - the mirror in the top bathroom tends to mist up as soon as you turn the shower on, so I would have liked a pole for opening the skylight. Overall - excellent. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Fantastic holiday home to come back to after a day walking the fells, cycling to Wray Castle, kayaking at Windermere or a simple stroll back from the local pubs. Beautifully furnished and fitted out and great location. Would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Quirky Bolthole with all the Trimmings!

We thoroughly enjoyed this cottage - it has everything you need for a wonderful break in the Lakes. It's location is second to none and lovely walks can taken directly from the door steps. Internally it comes into its own. The facilities, layout, equipment and furniture is of a very high standard without being fussy. It is a lovely place to return to after a day on the fells, walks and surrounding villages. We would highly recommend this property to anybody who loves the Lakes! Karen & John Brocklehurst

This is a beautiful cottage and a fantastic location. We were impressed at how tastefully it had been decorated and equipped to a high standard. The car park permit worked well although there is parking directly outside for one car. Good views from the master bedroom. Excellent storage for bikes in a locked outhouse together with chest freezer. Pleasant patio to the front for sitting and relaxing in the sunshine. So convenient to Ambleside centre and all it has to offer. The two bathrooms were a real bonus although we found only one shower could be used at any one time. Would highly recommend.

A very nice house in an excellent location

We very much enjoyed our stay in this house, which is very nicely furnished and presented and was very clean and generally well-equipped. It has a superb location within two minutes' walk of central Ambleside, while also convenient for embarking on walks. As we told the agent, the main light on the ground floor and another light weren't working, but they didn't manage to get anyone along to look, so it was a bit dark, but other than that, everything was great.
