PERFECT FOR LARGE GROUPS:
Our chalet excels at accommodating groups of 6-11 guests who need space to spread out. Unlike cramped cabins, we offer multiple sleeping areas, entertainment options for all ages, and room for everyone to enjoy their mountain getaway comfortably.

You have access to the entire house and garage.

SEPARATE RENTAL AGREEMENT
Immediately after booking, we'll send a quick link to sign our standard rental agreement (must be completed within 48 hours).

TRASH REMOVAL FEE ($150):
For your convenience, we have installed a bear box with both a trash and recycling can. Trash day is every MONDAY morning and recycling is picked up every other MONDAY.

We installed the bear box in the hopes that you won't have to take your trash out with you. But we obviously can't guarantee that the cans will be empty when you arrive. At checkout, please take any trash that does not fit in the bear box with you to the local dump. There is a convenient free trash dump on your way out of town in Avery (more directions/instructions provided after booking).

If you choose to leave overflow trash INSIDE THE CABIN or INSIDE THE GARAGE, we will charge a $150 trash removal fee because we will have to pay someone to take it to the dump. If all of your trash fits in the bear box, there will be no charge.

EV CHARGING FEE (per charging station)
We charge $0.50/kWh for charging. Depending on your booking platform we will either charge the credit card we have on file or request the payment through the listing site after checkout.

WEATHER & MOUNTAIN LIFE:
No refunds for storms, air quality, or weather-related outages. 4-wheel drive recommended in winter. The cabin has an automatic generator for power outages, though internet/cable may be affected during widespread outages.

CELL PHONE COVERAGE:
Limited reception – Verizon works best. Landline phone provided.
We don't live locally but are available by phone, email, or app. Our wonderful cleaner handles immediate on-location needs.

We had such an amazing stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect, and the atmosphere made it feel like a true home away from home. Communication with the host was smooth and they were super responsive and kind. Weekend Away

The Evergreen cabin was just what my family needed for a quick get-away weekend. We enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, we had fun walking the neighborhood, we played games on the patio and in the game room, we spent a day at Big Trees (and utilized the annual pass provided by our hosts), and celebrated a birthday and Mother's Day! Cabin and host are fantastic

The cabin was clean, comfortable, and has all the amenities you can expect, and way more. The back up generator provided uninterrupted power and worked flawlessly. The location is right where we wanted to be. Loved everything about it. Chelsea was proactive, letting us know about the power outage in the area (thanks to the generator, we didn’t even realize the power was out). She was very responsive to any questions, both before our trip, and during. The guide provided was very helpful. We will return!

Mountain retreat

What a wonderful house. Access was really easy for my mom who uses a walker and my dad who is 93. Everything from the driveway into the house and then the kitchen, dining room, family room, bedrooms and bathroom were all on level ground. Every possible amenity in the kitchen, day use passes for the state park and sno-park, bikes, kayaks and video games were all available. Plus all switches were labeled and there were nightlights so nobody stumbled in the dark. My sister used the 220V charger for her car. This time of year the roads, lakes and parks were empty and the locals seemed genuinely happy to have visitors. Awesome!

BEST Cabin in Arnold!

I have stayed in many different cabins all around Arnold over the last 10 years, and I have found my favorite! This is such a wonderful place. The cabin has big windows for tree viewing, a great living room and dining room table, with plenty of room for everyone to hang out, a fully stocked kitchen and all of the necessary amenities to make your stay perfect. I stayed in the cabin with my 14 year old son and his friend and my 75 year old father. We all enjoyed playing ping pong in the game room and playing games at the big dining room table. While we were there, it rained for a day, so we spent the whole day inside, moving from the game room to the main house and we had a blast. When it wasn't raining, we enjoyed hiking in Big Trees and appreciated the guest pass that got us into the park. Overall, everything about the cabin was great - it was very clean, very thoughtfully set up and very welcoming. We will definitley be coming back!

Great place and great location

I can’t say how much the place has saved me on its game room. Kids went nuts about it. The place is very cozy and has plenty of supplies. One thing I may complain is that there is a typo on its addresses, so it took us some time to find the right place. Thanks for the online direction instructions and the address wasn’t too off for GPS to find. There is no cellphone signal, so couldn’t contact the owner. But other than that, I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Awesome house in the mountains!

Had a great time at Dorrington. The house was well equipped with everything we could have ever needed, including sleds, a BBQ, and all kitchen basics. The house was clean, beds were comfy, and Chelsea was super responsive.

Exceeded Expectations!

We were so pleased with our stay and so appreciative of the great communication with the hosts. The cabin is cozy, well equipped, ( loved all the convenient charging cords) and a great location for what we wanted. Our 3 year old grandson had a blast and it was so fun to see him experience snow for the first time. Our dog, Rugie, also saw snow for the first time and he was very excited to find a dog box full of doggy goodies and even doggy bowls! Additionally he finally met a dog toy that he couldn't destroy in 5 minutes, That red bone is awesome. The "library" and games were wonderful and my daughter-in-law ( from Brazil) was introduced to PacMan for the first time. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we were so happy to spend time together and also have our space. My only suggestion would be to have a King size bed in one of the rooms. ( after 36+ years of marriage, we need a little more room.) Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and my daughter-in-law is already talking about going again next year.

Great weekend getaway

We had a lovely stay here and it was the perfect quick getaway from the Bay Area to play in the snow. We do enjoyed using the extra gear in the garage and the close location to the sno-park. Hope to come back again.

Post New Years Stay at Evergreen

We visited in early January for a change of scenery and some fun in the snow. Our family has visited the Arnold/Bear Valley area for many years, and Evergreen was by far the cleanest and best equipped property we have experienced. The description online were very accurate and the place just felt warm & cozy. It was a great home base for us. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace and well equipped kitchen. If the description looks attractive and the home meets your needs, we strongly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful Cabin

Such a great stay! 5 star for sure! This cabin is close to so many things to do in the area. We just happened to be skiing this time around and it was amazing! The cabin is so comfortable and the Host is super nice and helpful! We Will be back 😃

Best place I’ve stayed at

The place was really tailored to their guests. Easy reservation process, check in and check out. There were also many different chargers available for many electronics which makes things convenient. We went during the winter and the kids had a blast in the snow making their own sliding trails. The game room was enjoyed by the kids and adults alike!

Spacious and relaxing getaway

I visited this place with friends. We really enjoyed the space. The kitchen is well-appointed and cooking was easy. There were plenty of beds and space for everyone. We enjoyed the proximity to Calaveras Big Trees State Park, White Pines Lake, and the pool access. It was nice to sit on the balcony and look at all of the trees. Chelsea was super friendly and responsive to our questions throughout our stay. I won't hesitate to stay here again if I'm in the area.

Five star mountain get-away

Our family loved everything about Evergreen. Our hosts thought about every detail possible and made our stay wonderful. There is a game room that our family enjoyed evenings playing ping pong and Wii, a reading nook with books for every member of our family, a beautiful kitchen, a perfect deck and living room to relax - even a dog bowl and blanket for our pup! It was the perfect place to get away from the city, and right near hiking and great restaurants. We appreciated the thoughtfulness in every detail and can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful & relaxing

This spot was exactly what we needed -- clean, comfortable, and close to the state park. The deck and grill were perfect for an outdoor summer dinner, and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The host was very responsive and gave good tips on hikes, swimming spots, and places to eat in the area. Would book again!

Mini-Vacay in Dorrington

We enjoyed our stay in the Cabin in Dorrington. Chelsea was very pleasant and very responsive whenever we needed to contact her. Everything was exactly as we expected and the cabin was delightful to stay in for the short period of time we were there. Beautiful area and we hope to stay there again in the future.

So relaxing!

We had a wonderful stay at Evergreen. The house was spotlessly clean and supplied with everything we needed and more. I appreciated the ample supply of small conveniences, like soap, shampoo and conditioner, food storage containers, paper towels and nightlights. The kids (ages 6-12) appreciated the play room and the loft. They were so busy with puzzles, game room and digging in the left over snow (mid April), that we barely saw them in the main cabin. Got some skiing in, and visited the amazing Sequoias in Calaveras Big Tree Park. Sad to leave, and looking forward to returning in the summer, when we plan to check out the nearby lakes. Chelsea, the owner, was wonderfully accommodating and responsive. Could not have asked for a better vacation. Thank you.
