Great hotel for an Asheville trip. Location is excellent and most downtown attractions, breweries, and restaurants are easily walkable. The bar at night was a fun place to hangout with the other guests and talk. The poor bartender needed help though. Too many people for him to be making drinks and running late night bites.

What a treasure this hotel is. Chic, great service, rooms are incredibly well appointed with lovely linens, Nespresso machine. Huge shower and sink area. Lobby is a great gathering place. We had dinner there in the cozy lounge area. Fantastic reuse of a historical downtown property. Will stay again. Valet available.

The room was spotless! The staff was helpful, polite and professional. The bed, bedding and pillows were SO comfortable! I really appreciate the makeup mirror. Women of a certain age with eyesight the same age as I am appreciate magnification!

The hotel is beautiful but our room was in the oldest blg. The hardwood floor in the room is old & beat up & chipped. We were worried about getting splinters. The hotel does not provide slippers. Also noisy. You can hear steps from floor above. The staff were not very helpful. Slow service. A used overnight room service tray was left on the table by the elevator till late afternoon when I had to ask the front desk to clear it.

Great service & location, fair nights sleep. Negatives: The bed - too hard. They provided me with extra blankets but it didn’t help. I ended up lining up our extra pillows under my duvet and was able to sleep ok that way. The noise level - cool but old building equals creaky floors, thin walls, and in our 2nd room, loud pipes. Our first room was so loud above we couldn’t even enjoy tv let alone sleep (someone above us seemed to be logging steps all evening and throughout the night). Positives: Breakfast - we included breakfast with our booking thru Hotels.com, and very glad we did. Service was slow but very friendly. Although I didn’t believe them at first, included is any breakfast you want. You order anything off the menu and they remove the tabs from your bill. All the food we had over 3 mornings was fabulous. The water - filtered (and sparkling) water station in the lobby. We stopped by and filled up each day, saving time, plastic, and money buying bottled. Service - every employee was friendly and helpful. They happily moved us from a 2nd floor to top after night one was too loud. Restaurant staff always nice, valets were friendly. Great location - easy in and out, perfect location to roam downtown, loads of good restaurants nearby Rooms - decent sized rooms and bathrooms, comfy pillows, power curtains and large windows. Overall after I crafted my own soft mattress and relocated to a top floor room, we ended up having a great stay.
