Haywood House: West Asheville's Newly Restored And Most Walkable Rental!

The Haywood House is a newly restored, marvelous craftsman home in walking distance to the heart of vibrant West Asheville. Stay in West Asheville’s most walkable rental and enjoy the local restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, ice cream parlors, bakeries and groceries, while leaving the car at home!

It retains many features original to the house such as flooring, fireplaces and mantles, windows, and mouldings, but with all the comforts of home. The easy-access, one-level home has ten-foot ceilings and tastefully decorated throughout with period furniture, antiques, lamps and light fixtures. Haywood House is reminiscent of a time gone by, its craftsman charm updated with all the modern appliances and amenities.

All three-bedrooms boast king size beds. Eight can sleep comfortably including the convenient sleeper sofa in the living room. While the hall bathroom includes a tub and shower, the master bath has a large walk-in shower and ample counter space. You will be spoiled by the generous living and dining room, which includes an antique dining table that seats ten. The large kitchen is updated with granite counter tops, plentiful cabinet storage, and stainless appliances including a dishwasher. Dishes, utensils and small appliances are available, along with basic pantry items for easy meal preparation

A spacious, covered front porch beckons you to sit on the swing and take in daily life in the neighborhood, while the back deck includes a gas grill. Enjoy the thoughtful landscaping and gardens as you plan your adventures or relax for quality time.

Additionally, charge your electric vehicle with the EV charger in the parking area around back!

Steps from the front door, the food and fun of West Asheville awaits. Only a block or two away are restaurants such as Universal Joint, Westville Pub, Retrocade and West End Bakery. Shop for provisions and local treasures at the West Village Market. A short stroll brings you to local eateries such as Biscuit Head, Nine Mile, and Oyster House. The Beachem's Curve area or Isis Music Hall offer nightly food and entertainment.

For other entertainment, downtown Asheville is just two miles away and boasts restaurants, pubs, shopping, and the famous drum circle in Pritchard Park. Easy to find, good location to area attraction, we all loved the quaint refurbished interior, kitchen well stocked with needed items, laundry room very convenient, felt homey, showers had safety bar, toilets were chair height and comfortable for seniors, beds were comfortable, streets were a little noisy but got quiet after 10 pm until work traffic time which was not a problem for us, recommend this house for visiting Asheville area. fuel, groceries nearby, small eateries in walking distance. Everything was very clean, ample amount of towels, Wi-fi was very good. Host responds to requests quickly. loved the restored origianl wood floors.

Weekend Wedding

We stayed in West Asheville to attend a family wedding. We loved being less than 15 minutes driving to the rehearsal get together at Highland Brewery as well as the venue, The Farm. When not attending family festivities, walking to bakeries, bars, and restaurants was lovely. The front porch swing was also a favorite for enjoying the beautiful weather. The inside layout worked beautifully for bringing in pizza for dinner and socializing. The bedrooms were nicely sized and the beds slept well. We really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent stay in West Asheville

The Haywood House was everything as advertised. Clean, well maintained and comfortable. We were a party of 6 adults and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen and bathrooms are wonderfully updated and well stocked with what you need. The beds were comfortable. The house is located very close to wonderful restaurants, shopping and bars. Sunny Pointe Cafe, Bottiwalla, and Nine Mile were stand outs for restaurants. Character Study and Low Down are great cocktail bars. There are vintage shops, home good stores, etc all close by. Odds coffee shop is fantastic and less than a block away.Overall wonderful stay and I highly recommend.

The house was a beautiful spacious craftsman home, located in West Asheville. A small eclectic community. We ate at some local spots and a short drive to downtown Asheville, outdoor adventure park. We enjoyed our stay everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen.

first trip to Asheville

On the plus side, it's close to restaurants and breweries. On the down side, perhaps one of the busiest streets in the city! Auto and foot traffic. Not necessarily a downside but it's loud. We enjoyed the porch- it rained alot while we were there so we sat in the swing and people watched (and marveled at all the traffic). House is comfortable and well equipped.

Beautifully Restored Arts & Craft Home

My husband and I along with our 2 adult children (+spouse) really enjoyed our stay at the Haywood House. It was a beautifully restored home with updated kitchen and bathrooms, along with hardwood floors, and plenty of room for us all to relax. The house had a great location, with many dining options within walking distance. The house was also located close to highways to explore other parts of the area. We would definitely stay there again! :)

Perfect Stay

The house was perfect for our group! We were 3 couples traveling together. The layout was great. The location was perfect. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and stores in West Asheville. I would highly recommend this location.

The location was perfect for Biltmore, River Art District and evening dining. Your property is very well appointed and well stocked. Very comfortable although the busy front road traffic stayed noisy at night. Sound machines were a nice addition:) Thx for a nice stay

Great West Asheville stay

We loved staying at the Haywood house! Our family of 5 adults and 1 child stayed for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful stay. The house listing was accurate, plenty of room for all of us, a great kitchen that was fully stocked. We ordered Thanksgiving dinner from a local restaurant and had everything we needed for a perfect dinner. The location was walkable to local shops and restaurants and is super easy access to the interstate. Highly recommend the Haywood house!

Possible improvements for comfort

House was well equipped and accommodating for five sisters. Suggestions to consider are new pillows. Pillows were flat and very uncomfortable making sleeping nearly impossible. Also, since the house is located on a well traveled road, consider upgrading windows to double pane for noise and draftiness. Overall, house was very comfortable.
