The Moxy is an interesting alternative. The room is pretty small, and if you are traveling with luggage, you might have troubles with the space in the room as well as getting the luggage to and from your car. Parking is at an adjacent public parking deck, and it can be a hassle to load and unload with just a bit of curbside access to the hotel. The amenities and appointments in the room were trendy and unusual. I think that this would be very attractive to people looking for the artistic and traveling light.

Great addition to Asheville ❤️

Loved the hotel vibe, and rooftop pool area was so nice! My only issue was the complexity of the elevators, and everyone we saw had the same problem! It became a standing joke. But I would definitely come back here!!! Loved the rooftop patio and restaurant, Wildwood. Staff was wonderful, too! Perfect location and an easy walk to everything. Thanks for a great stay 😉

What a unique hotel with a cozy vibe! We felt welcome from the second we walked in until we checked out. We loved the games all around the double lobbies, the stash closet and the beautiful pool area!

Would choose another hotel in AVL

I booked this last-minute over a holiday weekend and cringed when I hit pay because it was a stretch for my budget. Therefore, I was expecting a $300/experience — and it really wasn’t. The staff were friendly, the location is great, the room/bed/bathroom were clean, and you got a free drink ticket and a ticket to an Orange Peel show when you check in. But the common areas are so full of stuff (games and art) and the seating is so casual that it was a challenge to enjoy doing work in the hotel, which I’d hoped to do on my stay. PLUS, what they don’t tell you is that your hotel entities (pool, parking, bar, restaurant) are shared with the Aloft next door and so I felt like I should have just booked there for less. Also, no fridge in my room was kind of a bummer. Parking is $15, but easy access to hotel.

Appreciated the location and friendliness of the staff. Welcoming drink was a nice touch. The arrangement of the beds was odd, one offset from the other, but beds were very comfortable. There is no in room coffee, but there is complimentary coffee in the lobby. Rooftop bar was absolutely fabulous.

First and foremost, the staff was absolutely amazing and so accommodating. They were so friendly and took care of all our needs during check-in and checkout. My only complaint is the bathroom layout. I was not a fan of the sink being very shallow making water splash out quite a bit. Very nitpicky, but worth mentioning. My biggest complaint is the "barn door" for the commode and shower, allows for absolutely no privacy, but looks nice. I would have also enjoyed a mini-fridge for our beverages. I don't think that is a huge ask considering the price of the reservation for one night. Just be aware, the staff is top notch and the bottle cap complimentary drink token is a very nice touch.
