Hotel was outdated. No complementary breakfast or free coffee in rooms. Queen double sweet only 2 pillows, no remote for TV. Dirty curtains and rugs. No hot water in sinks. Outside no attention or attempt to keep common areas clean. Trash, empty drinks, dead bird, homeless people sleeping in corner. Restaurant options minimal and over priced for the quality of food. Paid $420.00 for 2 nights plus additional $211.00 for incidental fee that I still have not been reimbursed for. Had to pay for parking through an app. No gambling in hotel had to go to casinos next door.

Showboat sucks

Your hotel totally sucks in every aspect. Its October 1,2025 today. My stay was September 21,2025. I still haven't seen my $167.99 hold on my credit card return yet. Your service people at the desk are ignorant and hang up on me many of my attempts. I want my money back. I can see why this hotel is empty. Your low daily rate tricked me and i learned my lesson. Ocean one always. Its worth the higher rate with quality service and money returned in 3 days. Showboat hotel is a disgrace. If i have to drive down their it will not be pretty I want my money back.

I’m not at all giving this a bad review, it is a reliable hotel for the price point for sure. Some of the decor and some of the rooms are definitely dated and need some repair as you would somewhat expect. If you don’t realize this, a lot of hotels along the beaches definitely struggle with maintaining good quality Interiors. I will say that I was blown away with how big this specific room arrangement was. The room that we were in there was a big balcony a king size bed, a rather large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a shower and a water closet, a desk area TV. It was a very big room with a chaise lounge in it. When you came out of that room, you were in a mini hallway and there was a powder room so there was two bathrooms and then in the main area, there was a massive living room area with a nice table off the side, and I’m also another little alcove off to the side and then a kitchen area, which was just fine. Through the passageway, of course was a secondary room with all the normal room things. So it was a good size room and would be excellent for a family. I decided to book it for a family member celebrating a birthday. So it was just the two of us, but it was nice to have our own space. The people there are really nice that work there. If you were looking for a casino, remember they do not have gaming tables. That being said they have an outstanding arcade and they have a go kart track and a bunch of other stuff. So it’s definitely a good economic price point.

The Showboat is a terrible property that is going bankrupt and will shut down. Carpets were duct taped, no wash cloths in the room, no hair dryer, no coffee maker and stains on the bedsheets. No a/c in main lobby areas and very poor a/c in the room. The entire hotel smelled like feet and pee. Carpets and walls were stained and dirty. Most restaurants in the hotel were closed. Crusty arcade games and cheap vending machines have replaced slot machines in this dump. We had to evacuate the property due to a fire alarm/emergency. We were hoping once everyone evacuated, it would burn to the ground so we could forget about the terrible experience. Upon returning to hotel, we watched the police escort a criminal in handcuffs out of the property. Several stabbings have been reported at this hotel in recent years. Don't waste your money on this defunct, dirty, gross, poor excuse of a hotel. Stay at the Hard Rock.

Room was clean but the main areas and public restrooms were dirty. The sides of the stalls were dirty with god only knows what. Hallway carpets were filthy. Checkb in and out staff were friendly.
