The classic style and decor of this hotel is beautiful! Staff was friendly. Room amenities adequate. If you're expecting a new shiny hotel you may want to stay somewhere else. Looking for art deco charm, convenient location at a reasonable price for a shore property, I think the Claridge is a great option.

Some of the staff was very nice some of the staff was not and the room wasn't cleaned prior to our arrival so we had to switch rooms which was a bit of a hassle because they weren't too accommodating

Toilet had tampon clogging it. Full of red blood making me believe housekeeping in no way did a proper cleaning. I flushed toilet which caused a sickening smell. We had to have housekeeping sanitize the bathroom in front of me so we could stay, and engineering cleared toilet clog. How can you miss this. Found broken glass on carpet indicating lack of proper floor cleaning. Air conditioning grill behind valance came down when curtain was moved showering me with peices of plaster. Wet bar had almost no water pressure. 3 out of 4 vanity bulbs were not working making it hard for my wife to prepair her make up. Wall paper was pealing in several places. Mananger offered me a free upgrade on my next stay, like I would ever go back. Do not stay here. Would have left but we were there for a 50th high school renunion. It is obviously a grossly mismanaged property.

We had a banquet in this hotel. The high top tables we requested for cocktail hour were not available. The food was exellent. Our hotel room had issues.The handle for the shower was pulling away from the wall, it was difficult to turn and I could only get warm water at 4 pm. Others in our group also complained of issues with their rooms.
