I have never left a negative review, but this stay was truly awful from start to finish. I did not realize before booking that this property was actually part of a duplex, and the experience reflected that. Youâre required to park in the grass and walk through wet, unlit grass around the back of the property to enter â an unpleasant and unsafe setup, especially after dark. Once inside, the walls were extremely thin, and I could clearly hear the âlong-termâ tenants in the adjoining unit arguing late into the night.The issues didnât stop there. The pool was green and completely unusable, and the entire property reeked of a strong sulfur odor, making it uncomfortable, especially in the bathroom. Worst of all, there was a flea infestation â my daughter ended up with 19 flea bites within 48 hours. The owners responded quickly to my messages, but the problems were not resolved. Despite multiple communications, no refund has been issued. Because the conditions were unlivable, we cut our trip short and stayed at a Best Western, which was cleaner, more comfortable, and actually allowed us to relax â something that says a lot about the state of this rental.This was one of the worst lodging experiences Iâve ever had, and I strongly recommend avoiding this property until all of these issues are addressed and verified by VRBO.
