Really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Grand Chancellor! The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, and the bed was super comfortable — perfect after a long day out. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the location made it easy to get around. Highly recommend for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

They had a room ready for us a little early and it was huge! (Compared to everything we'd stayed in in Australia and New Zealand so far). The bed was a nice king size with a great pillow top and very comfortable, we had a view of the Sky Tower and the water, the bathroom was large, and there was plenty of drawer space for us to truly unpack and settle in. There's a great little cafe downstairs for a quick breakfast and the front desk staff was very helpful in giving us directions for how to get around town.

Parking is off site and requires negotiating steep busy streets (and a downpour of rain walking back). Google searches and uber searches all select the ‘other’ grand chancellor in Hobson street - we were delivered there with our luggage first! Very inconvenient. When we spoke to reception staff about this we were told ‘ yes many of our customers get confused’. A tray of room service was left outside our room all night (we ate at 7.30pm). And our room was not serviced when we returned after being out from 8am til 2.30pm.

Overall the hotel is good. Rooms are excellent, good location and views. Front of house reception on arrival however is very very poor. Took three goes for the front of house to get our electronic key sorted. Very frustrating when you are in and out of the lifts, have your hotel parking
