This beautiful Viaduct Harbour apartment by Zodiak Stays offers a peaceful night's sleep in a quiet cul-de-sac within Auckland CBD. Enjoy stunning views of the Sky Tower from the private balcony. Explore nearby city amenities, restaurants, bars, and the ferry terminal within walking distance. Free WiFi and Sky TV are provided for guests' convenience.

The Space:

Welcome to this our amazing one bedroom apartment on the Viaduct! You can't find a better location than this, and you will have all the city amenities within a short walk from the apartment. The apartment is 86 meters squared, and is located in a gated building complex so security is excellent. Plus, you will have free parking with the apartment in the on-site parking garage.



Here at Zodiak Stays , we have all the amenities and facilities you will need to make your stay in Auckland as comfortable as possible:

The bedroom features a lovely Queen sized bed, and has an en-suite bathroom and sliding doors opening onto the balcony. The balcony has sliding panels that can be closed for privacy.



The main room of the apartment has a fully functional kitchen with oven, microwave, and dish washer. The living area has a sofa, TV with SKY, and a dining table with four chairs. The living area also opens us with large French sliding doors, and has a door to the balcony bedroom.



There is a washing machine and dryer tucked away in the laundry as well, and there is a second powder room. The main bathroom (attached to the bedroom) has a large bath as well as a separate shower.



Please note that a refundable security deposit (authorised and held by your card provider, not charged to us) is required as part of the booking process.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire apartment and the garage for the free parking.



The Neighborhood:

Everything you need is within walking distance from the apartment! Here are some suggestions for things to see and do on your visit to Auckland:



The Viaduct - the best bars and restaurants in the city! The New Zealand Maritime Museum is here, as well as Silo Park where you can watch outdoor films for free in the evening. You can also catch ferries from here to the amazing islands in the Hauraki Gulf like Waiheke, Tiritiri Matangi, and Rangitoto, as well as go on a whale and dolphin safari.



Wynyard Quarter - just a short 5 minute walk around the harbour will lead you to the newly refurbished area, Wynyard Quarter. There, you will find a great selection of even more restaurants and bars, Marvel Grill definitely being a favourite of our's to check out! You will also find Auckland's famous fish market here where you can eat some of the freshest and most delicious seafood in the city.



Federal Street - next to the Sky Tower (you can't miss it!) There are a lot of really nice bards and restaurants and cafes in this street, as well as the Sky City Casion and of course the Sky Tower. Dine at the top of tower at restaurant with the best views in Auckland, and jump off the Sky Walk to get down.



Just up the road from the apartment (towards K Road) lies Aotea Square, Auckland's cultural centre. Surrounding the square you'll find the Town Hall, Aotea Centre, Event cinemas, and two theatres (The Civic and the Q). The square itself is a nice place to people watch and sip some coffee. An ice-rink is the main attraction here during winter, and this will be put up soon.



If you head in the opposite direction along Queen Street (up the hill), you'll eventually reach Karangahape Road (a.k.a 'K' Road), where you'll find Auckland's alternative night scene. Many great bars, live music, shisha cafes, and cheap takeaways are what K Road is known for.



If you head East you'll reach Albert Park, also just a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Albert Park is a lovely place where you can chill and read, and the Auckland art gallery is next door on Wellesley Street. If you keep walking up Wellesley Street, past Auckland University, and across Grafton Road, you will eventually find Auckland Domain which is the biggest park in Auckland and has the Auckland War Memorial Museum, as well as an amazing botanical garden.



If you want to explore further Auckland then you can take a walk towards the Viaduct from the apartment. There you will find Britomart station. (Bus and train)



Apart from these mini adventures, Queen Street (main street the city) is filled with shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, live music venues, and more! Make sure you explore High Street as well, which lies just parallel to Queen Street. That whole area is very nice to walk, relax, or dine out in, and tends to be a bit cheaper than Queen Street if you want to do some shopping.

Getting Around:

There is the SkyBus to and from the Airport, or via taxi. Britomart bus and train station (10 minutes walking)/ Wynyard Wharf Ferry Terminal and Downtown Pier 4 (10 minutes walking). You can also use the Lime Scooters to get around the city, as well as Uber (or Zoomy – NZ’s version of Uber).



Other Things to Note:

Monthly Stays: We have a 10% discount factored into the price if you book for 28 nights or more.



Key Pick-Up: The key will need to be picked up from a secure location in the Viaduct (16 Market Place), which is just 1 minute down the road from the apartment building. They provide 24/7 access to keys via lockboxes. Please double-check if this suits you and ask us if you have any questions or concerns before booking. They also have free WiFi access at Keyp-It in case you need the internet to contact us. We will send you the full check-in instructions on the morning of your arrival date.



Parking: There is a free secure carpark in the building allocated to this apartment.



Personal Check-ins: We can arrange for someone to meet you at the apartment for a $85 fee. Please inquire before booking to check availability - we will need at least two days notice to guarantee someone can meet you.



Check-in Time: Check-in time is after 3pm. If you need to check-in earlier, then please double-check with us first so we can confirm availability.



Housekeeping: We can arrange extra weekly housekeeping during your stay if requested for the same price as the cleaning fee listed per clean. Stays longer than 21 days will be required to have a mid-stay clean at your expense. Please just send us a message if you need extra cleaning as we will need to organise this with the cleaning company we use.



Amenities: We provide a starter pack of amenities to last you the first few days of your stay (2x shampoo, 2x bodywash, 4x tea/coffee, 4x toilet paper rolls, 1 pack of laundry powder, 1 pack of dishwashing powder, dishwashing liquid, cleaning spray and wipes) but you will need to purchase your own amenities after these run out. Please do not take the large refillable bottles provided as we’ll need to charge for replacement.



Nespresso Machine: We don’t provide coffee pods in the unit, but you’re very welcome to bring your own favorites. For your convenience, we’ve provided complimentary instant coffee during your stay



Linens: We provide a full set of linens for each bed and a face cloth and shower towel per guest. Extra linens can be provided for a fee. Please inquire before your stay.



Checkout Time: Checkout time is at 10am.



This is a professionally managed apartment by Zodiak Stays so you can expect the very best in service, but please note it is not a serviced apartment. As above, weekly housekeeping can still be arranged as an extra service.



Interaction with Guests:

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm NZ time and we will try to respond to your messages/email as soon as possible. You will be provided with an emergency 24/7 maintenance number as well in case you need that outside of our regular office hours.

Door from living room to patio cannot be unlocked. Temperature of hot water heater should be lowered as the water is scaldingly hot. Very nice apt & apt complex, great location, well furnished and clean. My only complaint is the truck noise! - as the balcony faces the road - garbage/recycling trucks every am M-Fri starting before 6 am! Apt door exterior light bulb was replaced on same day of request. Host responses were very timely.

We had trouble getting our key from the lock box. Faulty. Took another hour to get to the accommodation because of this. Door handle too close to opening and I got my finger caught in the door where the keys are kept. Need instructions on how to get out through the fire door when you leave the key in the apartment and where to locate the fire door on check out. But overall was the apartment had everything. Good size and the shower pressure was great. Would definitely recommend if these little things are sorted.
