We offer convenient keyless door codes for self-check-in. Portoro Homes uses smart locks with check-in details provided 48 hours prior to arrival by email and text message.

‱ Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.

Discover the charm of Historic East Austin near Cesar Chavez with this renovated craftsman house. Immerse yourself in the vibrant Austin neighborhood or walk to some local favorites such as, Launderette, Bufalina Pizza, La Barbecue, Juan in a Million, Cenote, and Lou's Eastside.

Getting Around:
Austin is an easy city to get around without a car in this location! Walk, rent a scooter or bike, easy access to Uber/Lyft. Austin offers plenty of transportation options. Ridesharing, micro-mobility, and mass transit are available everywhere. The airport is just 15 minutes away.

We also provide guests with a full list of recommendations and services. This information can be found in the House Manual upon check-in.

Other Things to Note:
Please pay close attention to following the house rules. Non compliance could result in sizable fines.
- All guests staying at one of our Portoro Homes are required to sign (esignature) a rental agreement and complete identity registration.
- Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age.
- All guests must be included on the guest list and not exceed the maximum number stated on the listing.
- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. ALL guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Portoro.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- Some homes offer pools/hot tubs. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk.
- The pool is closed during winter months (October to May) and not actively serviced.
- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- Stays over 29 days – please inquire separately for terms and conditions.
- HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: Both the City of Austin and the State of Texas requires all hotel and vacation rental hosts to collect hotel tax. We collect these two taxes within the booking transaction. The state requires 6% and the city requires 11%.
- YOU ARE HELPING: A portion of the city hotel tax helps support Austin's musicians and related businesses.
- This home is pet-friendly. Please note, only dogs allowed and 50lb weight limit, up to 2 dogs per stay. $150.00 fee applies, per stay, per pet.
- This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.
- For the safety of guests and the home, there are noise monitoring devices. These devices only measure the decibel level and do NOT record any audio.

Interaction with Guests:
Portoro Homes communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 48 hours prior to arrival date (keyless entry). We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check with no need to stop in at a local office. We do typically check in with guests by email/text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions/inquiries. We are available to guests 24/7.

We follow the CDC Recommended Cleaning Guidelines. You can rest assured this property has been completely sanitized prior to check-in.

We really liked this house, close to downtown, within walking distance of watering holes, great restaurants and in a neighborhood with miles of sidewalks for my daily outings. Pool was great, everything was clean and the kitchen is a chef's dream. Will definitely look to book this again and other Portoro properties in the future :)

4.5/5. The place was great, but there were a couple things that were a little ‘off’. One of the bathrooms was under repair and just had a plywood floor. Not a massive issue, but took away from the vibe, for sure. The backyard/pool area could have benefited from a little tidying up - leaves and sticks everywhere. Overall, would absolutely book again - cozy, close to everything, walkable to good coffee and stuff.

I was disappointed with this stay. There was plywood on the floor of the master bedroom, the pool was cloudy and the lawn maintenance came bright and early on Saturday morning with no warning. However, the beds were comfortable and the AC was working well.

I stayed here for two nights to have a little staycation and I couldn’t be more happy with the home! It was clean, spacious, lots of natural light, and so much more. The beds were ridiculously comfortable, I enjoyed sleeping in! I hope to rent this place again sometime and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in east Austin!

Stayed here for a guy's trip. House is nice and clean and well located for access to downtown as well as multiple restaurants and bars close by. The owner was contacted regarding one issue and it was fixed the next day, great communication and follow thru on the owner's part.

Great location for a quick trip!

The location was great! I was traveling with younger children, so getting to local attractions and museums was easy and quick. We stayed in mid-March, so the outside amenities were largely unavailable (the pool mainly), but we enjoyed being outside in the nice weather.I would recommend it for a couples stay or a small family of 4 or less.
