The Cozy Camper | Sauna, Cold Plunge & Pool

Summary:

Sauna sessions, cold plunges, pool dips, and fireside hangs — welcome to The Cozy Camper, a laid-back East Austin getaway with a little bit of everything. This retro RV sleeps up to 3 guests with a cozy bed and convertible dining booth. Outside, kick back in the hammock, fire up the BBQ, or gather around the fire pit after a day in the city. Tucked in a private backyard but just minutes from downtown, it’s the ideal mix of Austin energy and easygoing retreat.

The Space:

Step into a camper that feels more like a tiny home than an RV. Inside, you’ll find a comfy bed and the dining booth easily converts into an additional sleeping area so the space can host up to 3 guests. Additionally, there's a dinette for meals or card games, a small kitchen for easy cooking, and a private bathroom with a shower. There’s also a TV for movie nights if you feel like staying in.

Outside is where this spot really shines. Start your morning with coffee in the hammock, spend the afternoon rotating between the sauna, cold plunge, and pool, then fire up the BBQ or relax around the fire pit as the sun sets. String lights and lounge chairs make the whole space feel warm, welcoming, and perfect for winding down.

Guest Access:

Guests have private use of the RV and full access to the backyard amenities, including the sauna, cold plunge, stock tank pool, hammock, firepit, BBQ grill, and lounge areas.

Please note the yard is SHARED with the homeowner who lives in the front house, as well as their two friendly dogs who roam the space. You’ll have plenty of room to enjoy your stay, but we ask that you respect the shared spaces and keep gates closed for the dogs’ safety.

The Neighborhood:

Nestled in a rapidly evolving corner of East Austin, this spot blends a laid-back neighborhood vibe with Austin’s creative soul. The area is blossoming—bringing along charming new restaurants, murals, and community-centered energy.

You’re just minutes from some of Austin’s best local spots:

- Figure 8 Coffee Purveyors – hip café for strong espresso and people-watching

- Sour Duck Market – laid-back eatery with great cocktails, baked goods, and an outdoor patio

- Hay Elotes – beloved food truck serving authentic Mexican street corn and bites

- Austin Eastciders Collaboratory – cider taproom with rotating flavors and live music nights

- Mueller Lake Park – perfect for walking trails, farmers’ markets, or picnics by the water

- Downtown Austin – live music, world-class dining, Lady Bird Lake, and nightlife, all about 10 minutes away

From morning saunas to evening fire pits, you’ve got serenity at home and Austin’s food, culture, and energy within easy reach.

Getting Around:

Easily get around on foot, by car, bike, taxi, etc.

Other Things to Note:

The backyard and all amenities are shared with the homeowner.

Interaction with Guests:

We respect your privacy and want you to feel at home during your stay. The owners live on-site in the main house and are happy to help if you need anything, but otherwise you’ll have as much privacy as you’d like.

This was a fabulous little place to stay for the weekend! While the camper is small, we spent the majority of our time exploring Austin. It was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed for small meals. The location was very close to all of the places we were looking to visit. We took our dog with us and were able to fit a crate inside too. The fire pit and pool were very cute!

The stay was great. Be aware that the property is on the flight path. There will be airplanes flying low at times.
