The oceanfront views from both levels of this beachfront home are a reminder that nature can both soothe and scintillate, while always providing the perfect backdrop to a memorable family getaway. Perched on the dune’s edge, this four-bedroom/two-bath home invites you up the outdoor stairs to a sundeck that will become your go-to spot for both coffee and cocktails. Step inside to an open and airy living space where a wood-beamed ceiling, wood floor and walls of picture windows invite the natural surroundings in. The sun-soaked living room features comfy furniture, a 50" Smart TV and Blu-Ray player and tasteful coastal decor. Enjoy preparing your favorite vacation meals in the newly renovated eat-in kitchen — or on the charcoal grill outside — and then linger over them around an 8-seat dining table. Clear, starry nights will likely welcome you back out to the deck to wind down the evening.

After a day on the beach or playing in the water at nearby Canadian Hole, sleep comes easily in this home’s four bedrooms, including two queen rooms and one room with two twin beds on the first level. A spiral staircase leads to a king master bedroom with its own private deck for stargazing. This home welcomes all of your family, including the dog. It was clean, well equipped in the kitchen and had a great view. We would definitely recommend it to everyone. I do not like the add ons such as towels and bedding. It should all be included. Also when you pay for towels it should include kitchen towels. Other than that we had a great time.

We had a great time at Sea Grapes. The house is clean and comfortable. A table to eat on outside with a gas grill would make the deck perfect. We would absolutely stay again. Thank you for a great week!

Perfect house for a small group!

House was cozy and perfect for our little girls trip! Bathrooms were a bit dated and upstairs tub had issues draining, but not a huge problem! We had a couple of issues with fridge losing power due to GFI plug, but that was an easy fix. We had trouble finding the house due to the address not posted on road and name of house was covered by overgrown bushes. Laundry room was located on first level with outside access. Not a problem for us! The views were beautiful ! The house was close to the main road (12) and directly across from the gas station so you could here the road traffic at night..

Beach getaway

This house has a great view of ocean, easy beach access from house, house had plenty of space. Some updates but could use a few more, deck space was wonderful, outdoor shower a plus. Overall this is a great space to vacation with family, we did it with 6 people and pet friendly was another great offer for us. We would stay again in this location!!!

Great place to stay

This beach house has a very nice floor plan and well equipped kitchen. You can't see the ocean from the lower deck because of the dune, but it also protected us from the wind. The beds were comfortable and the sunrises are beautiful from the top bedrooms, along with the sunsets. The walk to the beach is a little challenging, but we made several trips back and forth and by the end of the week, we all got stronger. We are in our early 60s. Conveniently located, and the fishing was great!!

Was an ideal location. We went south to Ocracoke and north to kitty Hawk and points between.

The house was great for us. Great sunrise and sunset views from upper level. We enjoyed walking to the beach but it would probably be a challenge for someone with health problems or if stairs are an issue wouldn't be easy.

Nice fishing but so hard to get to the beach for older people

The property is pretty good, the cleaning company needs to be replaced. Don't go here if you have elderly people or disable. No way anyone with walking issues can see the beach. Great fishing!

Wonderful spot Hatteras Island

First time to OBX, super happy to have picked this house in Avon NC. Place was beautiful and perfect for us. Beach access was one of a kind, be prepared for hiking over the dunes (which we thought we so beautiful). Asking Creek Store (BP) across the street was perfect for anything we needed. Grocery store, shops and restaurants close by. The covered deck was the perfect hang out and came in handy with some stormy days. Highly recommend and would go back in a second.

Tell everyone you can't see the beach from the unit.

Will never return to Obx unless it's nagshead where you can see the beach. Parents are in their 60's and could not climb the stupid sand mountains!!! Very angry about that. Very!

Beautiful house

It was even better than I expected. The livingroom was perfect for movie night after a day at the beach. The beach was not crowded and there were so many shells. The kids had fun searching for crabs at dark. A perfect vacation.

Huge and spacious on the OBX

The renting agency is a dream, the best at communication I've experienced in some years. A++++! The property is massive, with a roomy main floor lined with huge windows. The deck wraps around 1/2 the house within sound of the ocean, sight of the dunes. Sure can be seen directly from the small deck off the upper floor queen bedroom. Laundry is in room outside of the living space, which is reminiscent of older beach homes. Gorgeous beach, which even during July 4th week, was pretty sparsely populated. However the State Park, very near the State Park entrance (which allows cars onto the beach with a permit) was a parking lot of vehicles and people.

Overall, a nice home; however, you CANNOT see the ocean from the wrap-around porch or the main floor of the residence due to the very high sand dunes.

Great beach house!

The house is in great location-over the dune and you are on the beach!! Although the house needs some updating, it is comfortable and has plenty of room for a family.
