We had such a great stay here for spring break in Avon! The house had so many fun games and things to do, which made it perfect for hanging out and relaxing together. The outdoor space was amazing and the hot tub was an awesome amenity to have, especially at night with the lights and TV.It’s also a super quick walk to the beach, which was really peaceful during the off-season. There are also some great coffee shops within walking distance, which was a nice bonus in the mornings.The kitchen was stocked with pretty much everything you could ever need, which made cooking at the house really easy. Just make sure to bring your own bath and beach towels!One thing to note if you’re visiting in the off-season is that a lot of the restaurants and ice cream shops nearby are closed for the season, but that also makes the area feel more relaxed and uncrowded. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely come back!

The deck area and downstairs area was PERFECT for teens. The kitchen was well equipped and the living space offered ample space. The amenities, like bikes, hot tub, games and tiki bar were enjoyed by all. We had an amazing time.

This house has a lot of good space to hang out for a large group as well as a very well stocked kitchen if you plan to cook while there.I did not realize that I needed to see if towels were listed as an amenity for bathrooms. I've stayed in other VRBOs before and wrongfully assumed this was a given. As someone who travels for work extensively this is not something I would consider an amenity but an expectation. Our group traveled from Illinois and Wisconsin and then had to purchase towels while here. The host did offer to pay for them which was very nice, though they weren't great quality so I did not want to do that. The host let me know that other guests have taken towels and this is the reason for not having them. I'm not sure if VRBO has the ability to charge guests for stolen items but I think that should be the way to go, not inconveniencing others. This was also the situation with toilet paper which we also had to purchase as we ran out and we still had one more full day to go. Overall, the house has a good location near the beach and plenty of space. Again, the hosts were very nice and very responsive I just wish that they did not hold the shortcomings of other guests against future guests. Maybe reach out to guests ahead of time personally to let them know and offer to have towels onsite for an additional charge?

All in one right here! Amazing location to a public access for the beach! DQ across the street and really good restaurants in the area! The house is amazing! Plenty of outdoor space, well lit, clean hot tub, multiple decks, outdoor showers, corn hole and a tiki bar! Perfect set up inside and out! Neighbors were friendly! The host is great, checked in the day we arrived, extended our check out and mailing the clothes we left back to us! I’ve never “saved” a place but this is one we will be returning to!

The Deck House was perfect for our large, extended family vacation. Plenty of room to spread out for both fun party time and quiet reading/down time. Property was clean, nicely decorated, and kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking needs, etc.Easy walk to the beach, DQ across the street, grocery near by. Loved the location of the house, and the house was wonderful! Only about a 5 minute walk to the beach, and the house already had beach chairs for our group to use. The property is just as pictured. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The tiki bar area has so much to offer from beach toys, outdoor games beach chairs as well umbrellas. The out door showers are great when returning from the beach. Just be prepared for the sand dune climb to beach lol.

AMAZING

The DECK was absolutely perfect. A very accurate listing plenty of space, cookware/dishware, with a great grilling area. With multiple places to eat meals it felt like we were at 5 different restaurants. Location was nice - it was a short walk to the beach (2min) and a short drive to the fish market(3min)/grocery store(5min). Chuck (property manager) was very prompt to responding to emails for any of the questions we had throughout the trip.

We had 9 guys for a fishing. Ages ranged from 20 to 81. The place was clean and well stocked with kitchen equipment. Awesome house!

Very close to the beach, accomodated my family, plus my 2 sisters and their family and my parents! We had a fantastic time! Many shops, and dining places withing walking distance!Bakery nearby was awesome, pub was great, and the kids loved the candy shop and ice cream! Even shorter distance if you take the bikes out! Hot tub was enjoyable, and the deck--- absolutely stunning. Read out there almost every night, played games, chatted, and was the place to be almost the whole trip. Fantastic house, friendly neighbors and overall made our vacation, it was the core of so many fun memories made!

Location, location, location!

The Deck provided our family a wonderful base for our vacation. It was perfect for our twelve family members-four grandchildren sharing the bunk room and each child and their spouse having their own room. But by far the best part was the deck
covered with a ceiling fan, the hot tub, room for scooters, bubbles, and corn hole games. Trips to the end of the street to the walkway to the beach access, across the street to Dairy Queen which were frequent, down the street (just two miles) to Food Lion and Duck Donuts makes The Deck what realtors call “location, location, location”. Really, this place is a ten. Comfy, not the kind of place you have to worry about your child breaking something-it is child friendly inside and out. The hosts went over and above to make our vacation just what we needed. It feels like home!

Fantastic outdoor space, very well equipped!

My group had a fantastic experience at the deck! The hammock, bikes, hot tub, tiki bar, and outdoor TV made for an excellent stay, with tons to do the entire time. Location is great, there is a nice little coffee shop across the road (I really liked their matcha). Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the cleanliness and smell of the tiki bar fridge, it made all my ice smell funky after a day inside. The top shelf and door selves of the upstairs fridge were also somewhat broken and falling off constantly, and there was no bike pump available (host said this would be fixed for future stays) rendering the tandem bike inoperable. Overall though these are minor issues and did not seriously affect the stay, we were very happy with everything else and very happy with the price as well.

This place has everything you will need for an amazing outer banks vacation. We had 6 adults and 6 children ages 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 & 9. There was plenty of sleeping space for everyone. We loved that the deck was fully enclosed for the younger kids. We still had to watch them closely because of the hot tub and stairs, but we knew that they could not get out. The ocean side beach was just a short walk away. We appreciated that there were life jackets to use. The waves were intense (aka fun). It gave us peace of mind that the older kids, who can swim, had that extra protection. There was also a beach on the sound side that was calm and only a short car ride away. The two outdoor showers and hoses were awesome. After a day at the beach the sand is everywhere! The warm showers made it easy to rinse off. We enjoyed the 3 nearby ice cream shops. (We tried all of them.) We did not use the kayaks or the bikes because we had the young children, but it was a nice touch that they were available. We cooked in for nearly all of our meals. There were plenty of dishes and cook wear to accommodate our group, which was a pleasant surprise since most places are chintzy on the kitchen supplies. Everything was as advertised.
