This ground floor holiday apartment is within easy driving distance of Lyme Regis, Beer, Seaton and Sidmouth.. Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Oil central heating included (£20per week September-October, February-April). Electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi included. Shared enclosed small lawned garden with patio and furniture. Shared 13-acre landscaped grounds. Parking (1 car). No smoking. NB: Swimming pool (not for guests’ use), pond and lake in grounds.. These two charming self contained ground floor apartments are set within 13 acres of wonderful gardens. They are both tastefully furnished with period furniture and make delightful holiday homes in this peaceful part of East Devon, just west of the quaint town of Axminster and on the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within easy driving of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, with its stunning scenery. The popular seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Beer, Seaton and Sidmouth are a must, along with many attractions, such as Pecorama at Beer, the famous Seaton and District Electric Tramway running along the Seaton Marshes with its abundance of birdlife all year round, and the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth. There are many historic houses and gardens to visit, or you can spend a few days enjoying the cathedral city of Exeter with its amazing cathedral, catacombs, shops and restaurants. Enjoy lovely country walks and village pubs in this unspoilt area, and on your return keen gardeners can wander around the 10 acres of gardens, which are open to the public during the summer. Shop, pub and restaurant 1.75 miles.

A lovely stay

We had a very enjoyable week. The property is well furnished and comfortable - a couple of points to note: there isn't a washing machine in the apartment and there are no independent heating controls (assume the heating is controlled from the main house?). Neither of these things affected our stay. The gardens are beautiful and a real bonus. The property provides a great base for getting to Sidmouth, Seaton and Lyme Regis and there is a great pub 'The Tucker's Arms' within a short drive. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Gardener's Rest as a convenient base while visiting an elderly relative in sheltered accommodation nearby, and loved it there. It's spacious and comfortable, and set in beautiful gardens which we explored, it's very peaceful and has no street-lights nearby, there's a good tea-room in the gardens and an excellent pub a short drive (or walk) away, and there are good opportunities to explore the countryside along pleasant lanes and footpaths. A wonderful apartment In a wonderful location. The gardens are stunning and the apartment a good size, well used space and comfortable. Only two points I would have changed and that was to have a change of towels midweek and a trim of the bushes to where we parked our car, small little niggles in an otherwise perfect stay. My great stay

Fantastic surroundings, and a first class accomodation...great views, and beautiful gardens...easy access to surrounding towns and villages. A real home from home feel, and a totally friendly owner. What more could you want for a great holiday getaway !!!
