Peaceful, great riverside location... but a couple of niggles
Overall, this appartment is good. Well placed on edge of town, accessible via public transport (we had no car) and great views of the river. The reception agent was brisk in his dealings with us, but overall OK on the welcome front. From the outside, the appartment isn’t going to win any awards for architecture, but inside there’s everything you need albeit in a slightly dated decor. Bed comfy, filter coffee machine and great shower and nice balcony outdoor seating. What was disappointing: the WiFi stopped working on our 1st evening, and the router is obviously next door so we couldn’t find it to try to reset it. We raised this with both the owner and his local agent by texts and messages via HomeAway, but our requests for help were simply ignored which was a real shame, as he’d been clear and communicative before. We both had work to do we’d chosen this appartment BECAUSE of its WiFi facilities... if the owner had no intention of helping remedy the situation at least an acknowledgement would have been nice as we understand you can’t always just ‘magic’ your WiFi to work. I felt let down and ignored, frankly... that he was happy to take our money but not prepared to help us out when there was an issue. I’m glad it wasn’t another vital service like the power or hot water that broke, as we’d have had to leave. Lastly, a little file of info on local places to visit, eat, transport options would have been a nice touch.

Die Ferienwohnung liegt hinter einer größeren Firma, was aber das Wohnen nicht negativ beeinträchtigt, da der Wohnbereich nach hinten liegt, zur Elbe hin mit einem kleinen Balkon. Es war alles vorhanden, wir könnten tolle Wanderungen machen.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ideal für Wanderungen (auch ohne Auto) und die Wohnung hat alles, was wir brauchten. Der Balkon an der Elbe war ein schönes Highlight. Danke!

Super Lage!
Die Wohnung liegt perfekt direkt am Elbufer. Genau wie auf dem Foto zu sehen sitzt man herrlich auf dem Balkon und kann den Schiffen zusehen. Am Ufer entlang ein schöner Weg nach Bad Schandau. Busse in jede Richtung, mit S-Bahn flink in Dresden. Unser Auto blieb deshalb in der Garage, die sehr praktisch direkt vor der Haustür ist. Auf dem Balkon gibt es inzwischen eine elektrische Markise. Super! Die Wohnung ist richtig schön, ausreichend Platz für zwei Personen und alles soweit vorhanden (Backofen wäre schon toll ;-) ). Würde man einfach Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern anbringen, hätte man nicht ständig Besuch von Spinnen, die auch in die Wohnung möchten. Natürlich entstehen so überall Spinnweben und man sieht die zerschlagenen Reste an den Wänden. Das vermittelt nicht grade einen sauberen Eindruck, auch an der Fassade nicht. Ansonsten ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Entspannen!

Super Lage, einfache Kommunikation, verbesserungswürdige Sauberkeit
Die Bilder halten was sie verprechen. Unterkunft mit eigener Garage und großem Balkon mit Elbblick. Echt spitze! Ruhig gelegen und direkte Fähranlegestelle vor der Haustür. Das Zentrum von Bad Schandau ist fußläufig entlang der Elbe prima zu erreichen. Neuwertige und gut ausgestattete Küchenzeile trifft auf einen elektrisch verstellbaren Sessel und eine bequeme Couch. TV funktionierte, der WLAN-Empfang war eher dürftig. Armlehne eines Terassenstuhls war beschädigt und konnte nicht belastet werden. Leider keine Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern, was die vielen Insekten am Wasser zu einem Indoorbesuch einladen. An jedem Fester waren von außen Spinnen (-weben) und auch innen konnten einige bereits zerschlagene Exemplare an den Wänden vorgefunden werden. Hier wäre eine Reinigung angemessen. Ansonsten war die Unterkunft überwiegend sauber (Bett war blitzblank!). Duschboden und die Ecken im Wohnzimmer würden sich aber über eine grobe Reinigung freuen. Bett war weich und bequem, nur leider keine (!) Vorhänge oder Rolläden vor den Fenstern. So begrüßt einen am frühen Sommertag die Sonne beim Aufstehen. Wir mussten den Raum mit Handtüchern abdunkeln - das geht besser! Insgesamt eine schöne, preiswerte Unterkunft in super Lage. Nach Behebung der aufgeführten Mängel wirklich weiterzuempfehlen!
