Small, musty, filthy

Do yourself a favor and spend $10-20 more to stay at a better place. Dirty, bathroom was corroded, ceiling/wall full of stains. Because the room was so small without a window, it gets humid and musty.

The location is very very good. We have toured around bangkok and still feel that khao san road is the best. Every night we have to pass by khao san road, and they have the most delicious pad thai ever. However, the bed is a little hard though, but room is very reasonable for a price like this.

Avoid internet booking with this guesthouse

Avoid internet booking with this guesthouse as long as it does not change its room description policy. The room that I booked by internet 8 days in advance was on the ground floor, at the same level as the lobby and the entrance of the guesthouse, room #5. As a result I had a bad night because of the noise in the lobby all the night long although the guesthouse appears to be in a quiet location. Furthermore, the door of room # 6, next to my room could not be closed without a loud noise and that's what happened at 1.30 am the first night and at 2.35 am the second night. I asked for a change of room but the management refused because the upper floors were full. That's why they had rented me the room by internet that otherwise could not be rented under normal conditions. The description of the room was deceiving as it was not mentioned in the field "Need to know" that it was a room on the ground floor, near the lobby and the entrance and as a consequence it was a noisy room.

A Good Option

It was a quality, no-frills place with nice people. You can hold bags there for 10baht/day and it is very close to a lot of great stuff.

Nice quiet guesthouse in good location

Good cheap guesthouse close to Khao San Road, but far away not to be noisy. Has basic facilities that cover needs for a short stay. WIFI worked quite well. Staff were very friendly even their English was quite limited.
