A true Mountain Experience!! With a massive, panoramic view, GrandView offers both rustic and luxury elegance. GrandView is a newly renovated and professionally decorated mountain cabin. Set in the Banner Elk subdivision of Grey Fox, a gated community, GrandView is conveniently located within 5 minutes of both Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain Ski Resorts with both offering fantastic year-round activities.

This open-floor plan cottage offers the opportunity to sit on the sofa or dine at the large rustic table (seats 10) and enjoy a coveted, wide open, long range view. Every room in the house boasts this view.

As you enter GrandView you will find a great room, kitchen and dining area. The living area has a large stone fireplace with gas logs and a brand new 55” HDTV. Comfortable leather furniture completes the space. The Master Bedroom is on the main level and comes with a King bed, 55” HDTV and private bathroom. Downstairs offers two bedrooms, both with King beds, TV’s and their own bathrooms. A large Den/Rec room is furnished with a large, comfortable sectional sofa (great for watching movies or relaxing after a day on the slopes), 60” Smart HDTV, fold-up bed, and a separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.

You’ll love GrandView because of the huge panoramic views, beautiful decorations and rustic mountain feel, 3 king beds with accommodations for 7, three large screen TVs, dual family areas, and a large open deck that is covered on one side for those desiring the shade. Our place is close to mountains, waterfalls, rivers and lakes, hiking and biking trails, golf, restaurants, horseback riding, wineries, skiing, tubing, sledding, whitewater rafting, and more. GrandView is good for couples, families (with kids), business travelers, and groups.

This is a perfect location for all the High Country has to offer. Whether you want to ski, hike or sit on the covered deck and enjoy the view, Grandview is as good as it gets! Everything is new, clean and much attention has been given to every detail.

For large groups, one of our other properties, LongView, is literally right next door!!!

This clean, well furnished cabin was in an excellent location to view the fall colors. The host communicated very well and even came to clean the fallen leaves off the porches. One reason I chose this cabin for me and my husband with mobility issues was because it is easily accessible with a ramp. The main bedroom was on the first level, and two equally well equipped bedrooms are on the lower level. I highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for one in the Banner Elk area.

Grandview was wonderful and had the most amazing view of the surrounding mountains!! It was very cozy and well appointed, especially the kitchen, although we did need a colander during our stay and there wasn't one to be found anywhere. We loved that it was in a gated community away from it all, but very close to everything. It was a great girls weekend for my mom, two sisters and me and it was halfway for all of us so we will definitely be back!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!!

Everything was as advertised until we entered the property. On August 16th at 6 pm it was 80 degrees and no A/C!! I contacted John and he said open the windows and let the cool mountain air flow in. We didn’t unpack because we didn’t think that would work. He was so right!! The rest of the week was great! The home is beautifully decorated and well stocked. The view at Grandview is truly grand!! Banner Elk dining is a special treat especially Sorentos and Stonewalls! Beech Mountain is beautiful and Boone is an easy drive away for shopping and visiting. John was very responsive and helpful! We definitely plan to come again and invite family to join us!

The home is more lovely than the pictures can show. And it’s decorated like someone’s home - not a generic rental. It has everything you’ll need for a peaceful stay in the mountains. And that view!!!! It’s truly amazing. We’ve stayed in another house on the street owned by the same couple and it, too, is wonderful. The kitchen is well equipped, whether you just want a quick breakfast or a full dinner feast. The layout is perfect for 2 couples - privacy for both but good common space for time together.

Relaxing stay, great location

We had a nice 9 day stay in this home. Location is great with close proximity to Beech and Banner Elk. While the home was adequate, it should be noted that there is no A/C and needs some TLC. Coffee maker is extremely slow and one of the downstairs showers leaks. We also needed more than two towels per bathroom. Beds were ok but not extremely comfortable. Kitchen needs updated pans for cooking. One of the patio chairs was broken, which we realized after trying to sit in it. With some attention this would be a great house for 3 couples. Beautiful view from the deck and safe, gated community.

Second time staying at this property. We had a great time. The view is wonderful, and the cabin has a nice homey feel to it. The beautiful small town of Banner Elk boasts great restaurants and is conveniently located near Boone and Blowing Rock.

Great location, great views!

We had a great stay at this property. 3 king beds in 3 bedrooms with attached bathrooms were perfect for our family. Btw, there is another living room with TV downstairs where 2 bedrooms are, perfect for different groups to chill out in their own ways. The deck was perfect with southern view of the sky. Though I got my telescope, due to overcast skies and rain I couldn’t use it but anyone looking forward to sky watch, this would be a great place. Few issues I would like to mention to the host. We figured out how to start the gas grill but at least provide a big lighter because the start plug doesn’t work. Also, I would highly recommend a keurig with some supplies - you will impress your guests! Coffee availability in mountain areas is a must, it’s no fun to drive early in the morning! Overall, I definitely liked the property and would rent it again!!!

60th Birthday getaway

This is the second time we’ be e stayed at the Grand View and we love it. It is a little off the beaten path, but not too far from everything and the views are unbeatable. The lace is well stocked and so comfy. We love it and will be back again.

Wonderful Stay

Spotless accommodations, responsive host, and a beautiful view. We loved watching the fog roll in and out and the gorgeous sunsets over the mountains. Went skiing at both Sugar and Beech Mountain, as well as tubing. Curled up by the fire afterward, I didn’t want to leave.
