Welcome to The Eighth Wonder Lodge – A Luxe Boutique Ski-In/Ski-Out Cabin by Boutique BnBs

A modern renovated mile high luxury cabin with unreal views, ski-in/ski-out access, and thoughtful touches throughout. Indulge in the spectacular mountain views of Grandfather Mountain, Sugar mountain, and the backbone of the Appalachian mountains. This perfectly located home is nestled steps away from the wonderful slopes of Beech Mountain Ski Resort

The space
Every window of the newly renovated "Eighth Wonder Lodge" offers stunning mountain views (5280' elevation) and is only steps aways from the ski slopes of Beech Mountain. During the winter it is the perfect location for skiing and snowboarding, while the other seasons offer an ideal getaway for hiking, mountain biking, and sightseeing.

When you step inside, the open concept upper floor features expansive glass doors and windows offering long range panoramic mountain views. The fully furnished kitchen and cooking area with bar space extends into the living room where the magnificent stone gas fireplace provides a cozy environment after a long day of skiing or outdoor activities. Step outside to the 2 level outdoor deck and utilize the gas grill to prepare a meal or enjoy a glass of wine on the outdoor furniture.

On the lower level, 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms provide the utmost privacy for guests. The master bedroom is equipped with a king sized bed, Roku TV, washer and dryer, and private sliding door access to the exterior deck. The 2nd bedroom has a queen sized bed with Smart TV, while the 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed (2 queen sized beds), a Roku TV, and Playstation 4. Each room is equipped with individual wall heaters to allow you to have the perfect temperature for your stay.

The winter climate can be extremely cold and snowy, so plan accordingly. You may need a 4WD or snow chains to access Beech Mountain during certain snowy times during the winter. Snow covers the ground most of the winter!

Note: We have cameras on the exterior of the property primarily used when the house is not occupied. There is a ring camera flood light located at the front of the house and at the front door. There are no cameras inside the house.

Other things to note
The winter climate can be extremely cold and snowy, so plan accordingly. You may need a 4WD or snow chains to access Beech Mountain during that time.

Additional Note: AC unit is installed on upstairs floor in the main living area; bedrooms do not have AC. Opening the downstairs bedroom doors and windows for fresh mountain air keeps the home cool enough that the bedrooms do not require AC.

The house is in a great location super short walk to the ski hill. My only item I would hope for is a better fire burner in the gas fireplace. It is a very small flame and does not kick out a lot of heat. Overall the house is nice, very comfortable beds with nice bedding.

I typically spring for a hotel but with limited options in this little ski town we went for the vrbo option. Jessica the owner is super responsive and I can tell she has put the work in to make her vaca rental super cute and cozy. She doesn’t skip on toiletries and had the unit even decorated for Christmas. It’s in a great location and you cannot beat the sunset and sunrise view.
